This role will collaborate closely with design engineers, project managers, and market leadership to deliver high-quality infrastructure and airport construction projects. The Construction Manager is responsible for overseeing construction phase services, including inspection management, contractor coordination, and client communication. This individual will lead field teams, ensure compliance with contract documents, and implement best practices to drive quality, safety, and project success.\nThe ideal candidate will be located inArizona, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Texas, Utah, or Wyoming.\nWe are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position. Applicants must already possess work authorization in the country the job is located.\nWhat You Will Do:\nManage construction inspection activities for infrastructure and aviation projects, ensuring compliance with contract requirements\nLead and supervise inspection staff, providing direction, mentorship, and performance oversight\nCoordinate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure alignment on project goals and expectations\nMonitor contractor performance, including reviewing submittals and recommending corrective actions when necessary\nOversee quality of materials and workmanship, ensuring adherence to project specifications\nProvide on-site leadership, including issuing field direction and supporting resolution of construction issues\nTrack project progress, prepare daily and weekly reports, and maintain accurate documentation\nDevelop meeting agendas, facilitate discussions, and document meeting minutes\nSupport project budgeting and scheduling efforts\nReview certified payrolls for compliance with Davis-Bacon wage requirements\nEnsure accuracy and completeness of as-built drawings\nPromote and enforce job site safety standards and procedures\nWhat You Will Bring:\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field\n2+ years of construction management or project management experience\nStrong understanding of civil engineering and land development construction practices, including means and methods\nExperience with construction inspection, observation reporting, and quantity tracking\nProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)\nFamiliarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D is a plus\nStrong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients and internal teams\nAbility to provide constructive feedback and guidance to team members\nOSHA 10-Hour Construction Certification (or ability to obtain)\nAbility to safely navigate construction sites and comply with all safety requirements\nTravel Requirements & Compensation:\nTravel is highly seasonal, with approximately 100% travel from April through October and approximately 25-50% travel from November through March to support onsite airport projects across the Western United States.\nPaid overtime for hours worked on billable project assignments.\nDaily per diem provided for each day working onsite.\nCompany-provided vehicle for business travel, with associated vehicle expenses covered by the company.\nCompany-provided lodging while working onsite, with associated lodging costs covered by the company.\nExtended workdays: Employees should expect to work approximately 12-14 hours per day while traveling and working onsite.\nBenefits You Will Love:\nCertified as a Great Place to Work, Woolpert is one of the fastest-growing architecture, engineering, and geospatial companies in the world.
