This position will report to the Engineering Team Leader and will support hybrid or in office in our Fairview Heights, IL/St. Louis Metro office. \nWe are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position. Applicants must already possess work authorization in the country the job is located.\nWhat You Will Do as an Engineering Technician (Field/Civil Engineering) at Woolpert:\nDesign and create site layout plans in alignment with client requirements and Woolpert standards. \nUtilize AutoCAD Civil 3D to develop concept plans, grading plans, and site designs. \nWork with project management teams to identify impediments and develop/implement solutions to overcome obstacles. \nPerform site due diligence assessments and compile data and reports. \nPerform roadway pavement evaluations and compile reports. \nPerform occasional field work, frequent local travel, and overnight travel, as needed. \nWhat You Will Bring:\nMust have an Associates degree or technical certification from a technical school or four (4) years related experience. \nExperience in Autodesk Civil 3D. \nValid Driver’s License - Clean driving record. \nProven ability to multi-task, appropriately prioritize workflow, and complete tasks.\nMust be mentally and physically capable of performing all essential duties required of the position. \nMust have above average verbal and written communication skills for both internal and external relationships. \nMust be able to effectively communicate and present information in one-on-one and small group situations. \nMust be able to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications. \nMust be able to read, write and interpret reports, business correspondence and procedural documentation. \nMust be able to apply mathematical concepts of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. \nMust be able to perform basic mathematical calculations (fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions) and apply to practical situations. \nBenefits You Will Love\nCertified as a Great Place to Work, Woolpert is one of the fastest-growing architecture, engineering, and geospatial companies in the world.
