This is an on-site role with a schedule of 4 days working at the Air Force Civil Engineer Center (AFCEC) on Lackland Air Force Base and 1 day working remotely.\nThis position reports to the Geospatial Systems Team Leader and is responsible for architecting and implementing solutions for the rapidly growing GeoBase program. Roles of the GEOMAP Data Engineer include developing and implementing geospatial capabilities in an enterprise environment, Python scripting in an Esri environment to support process automation, and migrating legacy web applications and deploying them to our new Cloud One (AWS) environment.\nWe are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position. Applicants must already possess work authorization in the country the job is located.\nWhat You Will Do:\nAs a GEOMAP Data Engineer at Woolpert, you will: \nDevelop custom applications, web services and enterprise solutions using Python\nDevelop tools and scripts to automate complex data processing tasks and routine geoprocessing operations for the Air Force geospatial enterprise system\nDesign user-friendly interfaces and ensure application performance and quality\nIntegrate data across applications and conduct code, automation, and dashboard reviews with teammates\nCreate and manage GEOMAP dashboards and Portal content with enterprise teams\nCreate, maintain, and improve enterprise geoprocessing services\nTroubleshoot and optimize existing applications for improved efficiency\nAdminister integrations with other systems and manage on-premises data gateways\nSupport and troubleshoot GIS software, script, and tool performance\nUpgrade and migrate existing GIS applications and services to the Cloud One (Amazon Web Services) environment\nUtilize the GeoBase Agile framework to enable task visibility and project transparency to AFCEC client:\nUse Agile platform (Jira, Confluence) to record all processes and tasks, and manage all projects\nWhat You Will Bring:\nU.S. citizenship\nActive Secret (or higher) security clearance\nWillingness to undergo a background check and drug screening\nCurrent CompTIA Security+ certification\nExpert knowledge of Esri ArcGIS software and capabilities:\nExpert ArcGIS Pro user\nProficient with Portal for ArcGIS administration\nProficient with Esri Feature Service administration\nProficient creating and modifying Python scripts using ArcPy\nExperience with Oracle database and other RDBMS software in cloud environments:\nFamiliarity with SQL*Plus and PostgreSQL\nExperience working and deploying applications in a cloud environment such as AWS\nExperience with the Spatial Data Standards for Facilities, Infrastructure, and Environment (SDSFIE) GIS data standards or other defined spatial data models\nAdvanced knowledge of geospatial data types\nProficient performing projection and coordinate system transformation processes\nExcellent technical writing skills:\nProficient communicating complex technical issues to project and client leadership\nAbility to offer constructive feedback and problem solving, as well as clear direction to support goals \nAttention to detail - proven experience meeting data quality assurance and accuracy standards\nStrong organizational, time management and analytical skills\nAbility to work independently, collaboratively as part of a team, and as a member of a large organization\nThe following experience is favored: \nExperience with the DAF GeoBase program\nProficiency with the Spatial Data Standards for Facilities, Infrastructure, and Environment (SDSFIE) GIS data standards or experience with other defined spatial data models\nExperience using Agile methodologies, preferably Atlassian (Jira, Confluence) software\nExperience in enterprise GIS\nExperience with DoW geospatial data or systems \nBenefits You Will Love\nCertified as a Great Place to Work, Woolpert is one of the fastest-growing architecture, engineering, and geospatial companies in the world.
