This position reports to the Engineering Lead and will support our Azure Government Cloud. You will play a pivotal role working with Woolpert team members and clients on developing backend program and integrations within the Azure Gov Cloud environment, with a primary emphasis on leveraging the capabilities of the database platforms. Collaborating closely with interdisciplinary teams of engineers, geospatial experts, and environmental scientists, you will ensure the availability, interoperability, integrity, and security of data solutions for government clients. We are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position. \nApplicants must already possess work authorization in the country the job is located.\nWhat You Will Do:\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to elicit data requirements and architect effective data pipelines. \nPerform data transformations and cleansing operations to ensure data accuracy and consistency. \nEvolve existing scripts and notebooks to meet client needs. \nWork closely with data managers to ensure data quality with project objectives. \nDocument programming efforts and processes, technical specifications, and best practices. \nCoordinate with the broader team to ensure project success. \nSubmit monthly status reports on project efforts.\n What You Will Bring:\nU.S. citizenship \nActive Tier 1 Investigation (National Agency Check and Inquiries NACI), or security clearance \nWillingness to undergo a background check and drug screening. \nAbility and willingness to travel and meet clients as needed, up to 1 week per year. \nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience (1 year) \nPython development experience required. \nExperience working with Databricks and/or Spark is a plus. \nJavaScript development experience is a plus. \nPrevious exposure to data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is required. \nExperience managing and working with relational databases. PostgreSQL. \nSound grasps of programming and database principles \nFamiliarity with cloud computing concepts, specifically Azure Gov Cloud. \nStrong analytical and problem-solving acumen. \nExceptional teamwork and communication skills. \nAbility to successfully pass comprehensive background checks required for government security clearance. \nAzure 900 and Security+ baseline certifications or the ability to attain within the first 6 weeks. \nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS \nPractical experience with Azure Gov Cloud services. \nFamiliarity with geospatial data, GIS technologies, and pertinent geospatial standards. \nFamiliarity with modern data storage and processing technologies \nExperience handling sensitive data in secure government environments. \nUnderstanding data governance and data security best practices. \nExposure to version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines. \nBenefits You Will Love\nCertified as a Great Place to Work, Woolpert is one of the fastest-growing architecture, engineering, and geospatial companies in the world.
