This role will provide practical legal guidance across corporate, commercial, employment, data privacy, regulatory, and dispute-related matters. As a trusted advisor to senior leaders and cross-functional teams, the successful candidate will help manage legal risk, support compliance, and enable responsible business growth across multiple jurisdictions.\nYou will be:\nManaging legal matters across APAC and supporting compliance with local, regional and international laws.\nProviding practical advice on corporate, commercial, employment, regulatory and dispute matters.\nSupporting mergers and acquisitions, including due diligence, deal structuring, and drafting and negotiating transaction documents.\nDrafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial and construction agreements, assessing risk and supporting compliance across APAC.\nWorking with HR and operational teams on employment agreements, workplace issues, disputes and policies.\nKeeping track of legal and regulatory changes and explaining what they mean for the business.\nDeveloping and delivering training and awareness activities on legal and compliance topics.\nWorking with HR, Finance, Compliance, Operations and other teams to support consistent, commercially sound decisions.\nWe’re looking for someone who has:\nLaw degree and admission to practice in at least one Australian jurisdiction.\n3-5 years of experience of post-qualification legal experience, preferably gained in a multinational organisation, in-house legal team, or law firm.\nBroad experience across corporate, commercial, employment, regulatory, and dispute-related matters.\nWorking knowledge of data privacy and protection frameworks relevant to business operations in APAC.\nDemonstrated ability to manage complex legal matters across multiple jurisdictions.\nStrong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.\nStrategic and pragmatic approach to legal advice.\nFluency in English; proficiency in one or more additional languages used in the APAC region is advantageous.\nDesirable experience:\nExperience in architecture, engineering, geospatial, construction, infrastructure, or a related professional services industry is preferred.\nAbility to navigate diverse legal and business environments across APAC.\nWoolpert Benefits:\nWoolpert’s Principal Program gives employees the opportunity to become company stakeholders and share in the company’s growth and success. \nEmployees receive automatic Salary Continuance Insurance provided by Woolpert. \nNovated leasing and salary sacrifice options are available to help employees make the most of their income. \nDiscounted corporate health insurance through Bupa. \nWe value diversity and inclusion at Woolpert and are committed to creating a workplace that reflects the diversity of the communities we serve.
