Applicants must already possess work authorization in the country the job is located.\nWhat You Will Do:\nCompiles and enters geospatial data from assigned sources, including satellite imagery, aerial imagery, survey data, and field data collection, following established procedures. \nDigitizes source documents, maps, and features into spatial databases as directed. \nProduces routine maps, exhibits, and map products from existing data using standard GIS software and templates. \nPerforms basic quality control checks on assigned datasets to verify accuracy, completeness, and conformance to project and client specifications. \nAssists with the creation and maintenance of spatial databases, feature classes, and attribute tables under the direction of more experienced team members. \nDocuments GIS workflows, methodologies, and data sources for assigned tasks. \nAssists with field investigations, field data collection, and on-site client work as assigned. \nSupports GIS specialists, developers, project managers, and other professionals with routine technical and administrative project tasks. \nLearns and applies Woolpert GIS standards, data standards, and safety and quality procedures. \nPerforms other duties as assigned. \n\nWhat You Will Bring:\nBasic working knowledge of Geographic Information System (GIS) concepts, mapping principles, and spatial data. \nBasic proficiency with GIS software (e.g., Esri ArcGIS Pro) and Microsoft Office applications. \nAbility to follow detailed written and verbal instructions and established procedures. \nStrong attention to detail and accuracy when entering, reviewing, and editing data. \nAbility to organize and prioritize assigned tasks to meet established deadlines. \nEffective written and verbal communication skills. \nAbility to work collaboratively as a member of a project team and ask for direction when needed. \nWillingness to learn new tools, techniques, and Woolpert standards. \n\nPREFERRED EDUCATION: \nAssociate's degree or higher in Geographic Information Systems, Geography, Geomatics, Surveying, Environmental Science, or a related field preferred. \nPREFERRED EXPERIENCE: \n1 year of experience with GIS data collection, digitization, cartographic production, or spatial database maintenance preferred. \nInternship, co-op, or academic project experience using Esri ArcGIS software preferred. \nPREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, OR TRAINING: \nEsri technical certification or coursework in GIS preferred. \nPREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: \nFamiliarity with geodatabase structures, coordinate systems, and map projections. \nExposure to remote sensing, photogrammetry, or LiDAR data. \nBasic familiarity with scripting or automation tools (e.g., Python, ModelBuilder). \nInterest in the architecture, engineering, surveying, and geospatial services industry. \nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS: \nWork is primarily performed in an office environment and requires prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer workstation. \nMust be able to view a computer screen and perform repetitive motions, including keyboarding and use of a mouse, for extended periods. \nMust be able to communicate effectively in person, by telephone, and in writing. \nOccasional field work may be required, which may include walking over uneven terrain, exposure to outdoor weather conditions, and exposure to traffic or active construction sites. \nMust be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds occasionally. \nMust be able to wear required personal protective equipment when working in the field. \nBenefits You Will Love\nCertified as a Great Place to Work, Woolpert is one of the fastest-growing architecture, engineering, and geospatial companies in the world.
