This position reports to the Director of IT Infrastructure & Operations and is responsible for the planning, design, and operations of the organization’s global IT systems infrastructure according to industry best practices, while ensuring the highest levels of data integrity and availability across Public, Private, and US Government cloud environments. This individual will develop, implement, and oversee policies and procedures to ensure consistent system provisioning, uptime, and adherence to regulatory compliance requirements. The Systems Administration Lead is also responsible for capacity planning, project delivery, performance analysis, and developing disaster recovery plans. This role is responsible for managing a growing global team of System Administrators across multiple time zones (domestic and international).\nWe are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position. Applicants must already possess work authorization in the country where the job is located.\nWhat You Will Do:\nStrategy & Planning\nExtensive experience in the configuration, installation, and administration of mission-critical systems such as Entra/Active Directory, Microsoft M365 (Commercial) & G365 (Government), Windows & Linux Servers, and VDI platforms.\nProven track record with capacity management in collaboration with business partners and company forecast metrics.\nProven track record of securing cloud environments to US Federal and State requirements - DoD / CMMC compliance experience preferred.\nProven experience operating, designing, and implementing compliance frameworks, such as SOX, HIPAA, SOC-2, GDPR, and NIST 800.\nAbility to interpret compliance controls and develop technical and operational solutions.\nAbility to report on enterprise-wide system status, performance, utilization, trends, and business show-back / charge-back.\nMaintain current knowledge of IT-related laws, trends, and issues, including emerging technologies and best practices. Develop strategies and policies to ensure best practices based on regulatory compliance while reducing the enterprise’s legal exposure.\nJustify expenditures on enterprise IT solutions through business cases and ROI/TCO calculations.\nAbility to partner with IT Security team to define, communicate, and ensure adherence to compliance policies and create routines for operational best practices.\nDevelop and maintain procedures for change management, availability management, backup management, incident management, and process documentation.\nAcquisition & Integration\nExtensive experience in managing IT M&A activities, including discovery, strategizing, planning, integration, migration, troubleshooting, and operationalizing support.\nAbility to integrate Microsoft Entra/AD, M365 tenants, Server & Storage infrastructure, SaaS platforms, VDI and B2B/B2C environments.\nUnderstanding of IT operational processes & policy to support the merging and augmentation.\nDevelop SLA’s & KPI’s aligned with business objectives and elevated customer experience.\nOperational Management\nEnsure IT adherence to service level agreements regarding system allocations, limitations, and availability.\nExperience operating DoD IT system environments, security clearance preferred, USA citizenship required.\nProven track record of implementing and operating ITIL best practices.\nDevelop and deliver training programs to educate employees on best practices and compliance requirements.\nMaintain a panoptic view of business and other IT projects, initiatives, and trends to align and develop efficiencies where possible in an effort to develop a continuous improvement methodology.\nWhat You Will Bring:\n4-year bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related IT field\n10+ years working in the IT industry\n3+ years in a management role\nITI V4 Certification Preferred\nIn-depth understanding of Microsoft Active Directory / Entra ID design principles and practices.\nExtensive PowerShell knowledge and experience.\nWorking knowledge of the NIST 800-171 security framework.\nExperience working with Microsoft Unified/Premier Support.\nSolid experience architecting and supporting Windows Server environments.\nExperience with Azure management with in-depth knowledge of Cost Management.\nExperience with building and operating VMware and Hyper-V High-Performance Compute environments.\nExperience with AWS and Google Cloud environments.\nProven experience in developing, operating, and submitting system compliance reports for governing bodies, legal entities, and/or other external authorities.\nKnowledge of applicable data retention practices and laws.\nProven analytical and problem-solving abilities.\nAbility to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.\nAbility to conduct research into issues, standards, and products.\nStrong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.\nAbility to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language.\nHighly self-motivated and directed.\nKeen attention to detail.\nTeam-oriented and skilled in working within a collaborative environment.\nBenefits You Will Love\nCertified as a Great Place to Work, Woolpert is one of the fastest-growing architecture, engineering, and geospatial companies in the world.
