to freight forwarding business\nReinforce relationships with customers and carriers by leading effective and continuous communications\nPrepare regular settlement status reports for company management, customer, pages and headquarters\nImprove the settlement processes by developing automated processes to reduce manual processing\nProcess customer billing accurately on or before deadlines as per requirements and according to company policy for each division\nManage, analyze & prepare correction forms for billing corrections in the access database.\nReview and discuss essential freight documentation that supports charges invoiced and is required for payment.\nUse accounting knowledge & work experiences and possess the understanding of how Billing functions affect P&L.\nAudit carrier freight bills and interpret tariffs and contracts including DEM/DET and operational accessory invoices based on contracts with customers/truckers and process in the system for payment on time or stipulated credit terms.\nWork with the internal technologies required for daily functions.\nInvestigate and diagnose potential errors and duplicate carrier billing.\nPerform ad-hoc reporting, as required.\nPerform other job-related duties as required\nExperience in AR &AP, Invoicing, Customer Service or Transportation/Logistics related experience\n\nBachelor’s Degree\n\nAbility to quickly grasp situations to make decisions to ensure problems are resolved and corrected\n\nEffective written and verbal communications skills to communicate with various levels of the organization\n\nProficient with Outlook, Microsoft Office applications PowerPoint, Word\n\nProficient with Excel, especially v-lookups and pivot tables\n\nAbility to work overtime when needed\n\n All
