Our platform is a large-scale system combining a Ruby on Rails monolith with a growing ecosystem of Go microservices. In this role, you will build and maintain business logic and enterprise-grade features for the Workato platform, including on-premise features, authentication, caching, work queuing, and APIs.\nYou will also be expected to:\nDesign, build, and maintain Go microservices with a focus on correctness and reliability.\nImplement business logic and enterprise-quality standards across the platform.\nCollaborate with Infra and SRE teams to ensure high availability and scalability requirements are met.\nContribute across all phases of the development lifecycle.\nWrite well-designed, testable, and efficient code.\nEvaluate and propose improvements to existing systems.\nProduct & Technology Context:\nStrong web development background, with experience building user-facing products - including UI, business logic, and integrations with external APIs.\nProduct-minded engineering experience: you understand how technology ties back to user and business needs, not just infrastructure.\nTrack record of shipping user-facing business features across product platforms, developer experience platforms, or other customer-facing surfaces.\nSolid production experience - typically 7+ years - with the depth and maturity to build and support systems in production.\nClear understanding of how web applications work end-to-end, and how the different pieces fit together to deliver a product or business outcome.\nDepth and consistency in technical background - we value engineers who've built real expertise over time, rather than hopping across many different stacks.\nOur core platform is a Ruby on Rails monolith, with some Go services handling more focused functions alongside the Ruby/monolith team.
