We capture employee rapport, keep track of office utilization, recommend expansions and / or new locations and coordinate projects for office build-outs and control operating and capital expenses.About the Role\nAs the Global Project Delivery Director, you will oversee Workday’s Capital Project Portfolio. Taking initial concepts through the entire lifecycle of capital projects. You will also lead rigorous management of capital budgets, at the portfolio and individual project level. You will join a world-class team committed to setting the standard for how we envision, how we build, how we spend, and how we sustain our environments.\nResponsibilities:\nGlobal Capital Project Leadership\nDirect the planning, execution, and closing of all global capital construction projects, ensuring they are delivered; per defined scope & quality, on time, and within set budget.\nIdentify and manage potential project risks, from supply chain disruptions to local regulatory hurdles.\nProactively engage with Workday Real Estate and Strategic Planning Team to influence future investment planning .\nPartner directly with Real Estate Portfolio & Strategy team on site selection, ensuring projects meet the need of the Enterprise Location Strategy and workforce plan.\nWork closely with Workday’s BT (IT) and Global Workplace Safety teams to ensure that technology solutions (including audio visual, low voltage cabling, access control system) are accurately captured in design\nTrack upcoming business / investment needs and requirements for real estate projects globally. Develop and manage an 18 - 24 month “look ahead” report of anticipated projects.\nDirect all aspects of construction and project management across Workday’s Real Estate & Workplace portfolio.\nPeriodically review Project Delivery Model and recommend changes to appropriately support Workday needs. \nPartner with other Workday internal teams, such as Safety & Security, FP&A, Workplace Operations, and Business Technology to ensure seamless handoff of projects at completion.\nFinancial Stewardship & Capital Budgeting\nOwn the global capital budget, providing accurate forecasting, tracking, and reporting to executive leadership.\nDrive cost-efficiency without compromising design integrity or the \"Workmate\" experience.\nNegotiate and manage master service agreements with global architects, general contractors, and consultants.\nEnsure that schedules and budgets are developed and maintained for projects, utilizing existing processes, tools and templates. Identify efficiencies and technology enhancements in the project management space, moving toward better insights for stakeholders.\nProvide project status reports on costs (comparing to budget), and timelines (comparing to plan).\nDrive cost efficiency while maintaining service levels by analyzing the value of services provided, renegotiating vendor contracts where appropriate, and ensuring that contract is at cost effective levels by developing metrics to understand when reductions are required.\nOwnership of systems and processes used to collect, process, analyze and store data required within Capital Project Delivery.\nStay ahead of industry trends on systems, tools & practices to ensure Workday remains at the forefront of process efficiency.\nAct as an internal champion for Workplace sustainability, ensuring all new builds and major retrofits meet or exceed established corporate ESG goals.\nDevelop direct strategies for projects to achieve and maintaining LEED and WELL certifications across the global portfolio.\nAbout You\nRequired Qualifications\n12+ years of experience in global real estate, construction management, with at least 10 years in a leadership capacity.\nFinancial acumen with a proven track record of managing $100M+ global capital budgets. Financial analysis experience and familiarity with accounting and financial concepts of real estate, capital projects and operations expenses.\nOther Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management or related field preferred.\nLEED AP and WELL AP credentials.\nA global mindset with experience navigating international construction laws, labor markets, and design standards.\nA proven ability to inspire cross-functional teams and influence C-suite stakeholders.\nExperience with global projects, specifically in Asia Pacific Japan, and EMEA.\nAdministrative ability, technical background and project responsibility experience.\nStrong team leader with ability to lead internal and external team meetings.\nStrong proficiency with project management tools and technology.Experience with Procore / eBuilder / AutoCAD, BIM 360\nStrong internal and client relationship management and interpersonal skills.\nExcellent communication skills including strong oral, presentation and written communication skills and professional presence.\nWorkday Pay Transparency Statement\nThe annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below.
