This technician will work with engineers to specify and implement rework and finishing manufacturing steps on engineering model and flight model hardware. This will involve removing and replacing components, adding wires and altering connections, building and altering cables, “Dead bugging” components, etc.\nResponsibilities:\nAssemble and repair PCBAs and wire harnesses per work instructions, schematics, and IPC standards\nRead and interpret engineering drawings, technical manuals, and specifications\nAssist with functional tests, calibrations, and troubleshooting on systems and subassemblies\nConduct visual inspections using 4x microscope\nInstall and route wire harnesses\nDocument work accurately in work instructions\nIdentify and report nonconformances, and support corrective actions with Quality and Engineering\nMaintain a clean, organized workspace in compliance with FOD (foreign object debris) and 5S practices\nFollow all safety, environmental, and regulatory procedures\nSupport continuous improvement and, where applicable, mentor junior technicians\nRequirements:\nHigh school diploma or GED\nMinimum 4 years hands-on experience performing PCBS rework and repair using hand soldering and de-soldering tools\nIPC-J-STD-001, IPC-A-620, and IPC-7711/7721Certifications\nAbility to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation\nAbility to select appropriate methods and materials to perform the repair/rework \nProficiency with hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments\nAbility to remove and replace fine pitch components (E.g. TSOP, QFP, SOIC) without damage to the PCB or components\nAbility to perform repair of damaged PCB traces\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality\nMust be able to read and understand PCB layout images, component data sheets and rework instructions\nExperience building and testing cable harnesses \nU.S. person status required for ITAR/EAR-controlled work\nExcellent communication skills with the ability to read, write and speak English fluently\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\nAssociate degree or certificate in aviation maintenance, avionics, or a related technical field\nFamiliarity with AS9100 standards\nExperience with ERP/MRO software\nWorking Conditions:\nProduction floor, or lab environment; may include noise, fumes, and temperature variation\nOvertime and weekend work as needed\nThe total compensation package includes base, bonus, equity, and a range of benefit options found on our career site.\nIf this role has a commission structure, the compensation range below just reflects the base compensation range.\nWage Transparency:$84,000-$105,000 USDCompensation will vary based on individual factors such as education, qualifications, and experience of the final candidate(s), specific office location, and calibration against relevant market data and internal team equity.
