A critical part of the job is to ensure an understanding of Workiva’s role, placement, and footprint in an organization’s technology landscape.\nWhat You’ll Do\nServe as a key member of the cross-functional sales team on each opportunity, including actively participating in account planning and strategy, driving the technical agenda from initial engagement through deal closure\n\nStay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends-such as advancements in cloud computing, data analytics, AI/ML, and cybersecurity-that may influence or enhance Workiva solutions\n\nExecute the technical discovery process with customers to identify areas where Workiva solutions align to address customer needs\n\nPrepare and deliver dynamic, tailored, value-driven technical demos and presentations of the Workiva platform including examples, solutions, prototypes, and proofs of concept to demonstrate viability and value of Workiva solutions\n\nWork across various business lines at our customers including technical teams in IT, architecture, platform, and integration teams; and business functions in accounting, legal, finance, sustainability, audit, risk, FP&A, and financial reporting\n\nAddress regional architecture requirements, including EMEA data sovereignty, data residency, and GDPR compliance, ensuring customer technical security teams are confident in Workiva’s deployment model\n\nTailor technical messaging and solution demos to accommodate multi-currency and multi-entity consolidation\n\nCollaborate with team members to share findings and observations, learn from team members’ experiences, and celebrate successes\n\nConsistently and proactively share experiences and observations with Workiva’s product management, engineering, product marketing, sales leadership, and executive teams to foster cross-functional alignment and innovation\n\nEngage with customers and partners alike to ensure success and satisfaction with Workiva\n\nDemonstrate expertise across multiple domain areas, developing working knowledge of industries, departments, and use cases where Workiva can have an impact\n\nActively pursue innovation and creative problem-solving using the Workiva platform\n\nWhat You’ll Need\nMinimum Qualifications\n6 years of technical customer-facing experience, ideally in presales, implementation consulting, or training/enablement\n\nExperience with data management, database design, and analysis, with expertise in SQL, data modeling, multidimensional concepts (e.g., Essbase, TM1), relational theory, data transformation (e.g., Alteryx), and advanced Excel\n\nExperience in designing and understanding enterprise data architecture to be able to identify where Workiva can extend an organization’s data strategy\n\nHands-on experience with various AI tools and an understanding of concepts like MCP\n\nKnowledge of cybersecurity concepts and IT security considerations, GDPR and data privacy regulations, and European cloud security standards.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nHands on experience with data platforms, ERPs, performance management systems, or BI platforms (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake, Fabric/Azure, etc)\n\nHands-on experience with data integration and data integration software (e.g., Alteryx, FiveTran, MuleSoft)\n\nFinancial services experience\n\nTravel Requirement & Working Conditions\nUp to 40% travel for customer visits, conferences, and company events\n\nReliable internet access for any period of time working remotely, not in a Workiva office\n\nWhy Join Workiva\nWorkiva is the platform designed to bring confidence, control, and a competitive edge to the world’s most complex organizations.
