You'll work with owners, occupiers, investors, and developers, helping them make informed decisions about their property assets.\nYou'll be involved in a broad range of building surveying activities, gaining exposure to both professional and project work across various sectors.\nTypical responsibilities include:\nUndertaking building inspections and property surveys.\nPreparing schedules of condition, dilapidations, and defect reports.\nAssisting with contract administration and project management duties.\nSupporting refurbishment, repair, and maintenance projects.\nPreparing specifications, reports, and technical advice for clients.\nEnsuring compliance with building regulations, health and safety legislation, and industry standards.\nAssisting clients with planned maintenance strategies and asset improvement programmes.\nWorking closely with colleagues and clients to deliver projects on time and within budget.\nWhat Matters Most in This Role\nWe're looking for individuals who demonstrate:\nA genuine interest in buildings, construction, and the built environment.\nStrong attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills.\nExcellent communication and relationship-building abilities.\nConfidence working both independently and as part of a team.\nResilience, adaptability, and a positive attitude.\nThe ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.\nA willingness to work across different locations, both on-site and in the office.\nA proactive approach to learning and taking ownership of your professional development.\nEntry Requirements\nGraduate Applicants\nRICS-Accredited Degree Pathway\nRICS-accredited Building Surveying degree with a minimum 2:2 classification (or equivalent).\nNon-RICS Degree Pathway\nNon-cognate, non-RICS accredited degree with a minimum 2:2 classification.\nApprentice Applicants\n96 UCAS tariff points (or equivalent) and GCSE Grade 4/C or above in English and Mathematics (or equivalent);\nOR\nAn Advanced Apprenticeship in Surveying or Construction Technical with a minimum DD profile (or equivalent qualification), plus GCSE Grade 4/C or above in English and Mathematics (or equivalent).\nWhy Workman?\nHybrid working to offer you a great work life balance, with a minimum of three days in the office.
