Strong hands-on knowledge of Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD is\nessential.\nTasks\nKey Responsibilities\nCreate and develop detailed fabrication and manufacturing drawings using Autodesk Inventor\nand AutoCAD.\nRead, interpret, and understand engineering, fabrication, assembly, and welding drawings.\nDevelop practical designs for fabricated components and assemblies.\nEnsure drawings include accurate dimensions, tolerances, materials, specifications, and fabrication\ndetails.\nApply knowledge of welding, weld symbols, joints, and fabrication methods when preparing and\nreviewing drawings.\nReview designs to ensure they are suitable for fabrication, assembly, and installation.\nWork closely with fabricators and engineers to resolve design and fabrication issues.\nModify and improve existing designs based on fabrication requirements or project changes.\nPrepare and review fabrication drawings, shop drawings, and assembly drawings.\nPerform drawing checks to identify dimensional, structural, or fabrication-related issues before\nproduction.\nCoordinate with suppliers and fabrication teams when clarification or technical information is\nrequired.\nAssist with material take-offs, fabrication requirements, and technical documentation.\nUse Navisworks or similar software to review models and identify potential clashes or design issues\nwhere required.\nEnsure all drawings and technical documents meet project and client requirements\nRequirements\nKey Requirements\nBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering field.\nStrong experience in mechanical fabrication and design.\nProven ability to read and interpret engineering and fabrication drawings.\nGood understanding of welding processes, weld symbols, joints, and fabrication methods.\nStrong proficiency in Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD.\nExperience creating detailed fabrication and manufacturing drawings.\nUnderstanding of materials, tolerances, dimensions, and practical fabrication methods.\nAbility to visualize 3D components and translate them into accurate 2D manufacturing drawings.\nStrong attention to detail and accuracy.\nAbility to identify design issues and recommend practical fabrication solutions.\nExperience working directly with fabricators, welders, production teams, or manufacturing\nenvironments is highly preferred.\nPreferred SkillsExperience with Navisworks.\nKnowledge of CNC fabrication, nesting, or cutting processes.\nExperience with CNCAD/AutoNest or similar nesting software.\nExperience with structural steel, wear plates, fabricated components, or mining-related equipment is\nan advantage.\nExperience preparing ITPs, inspection documentation, and final technical documentation is an\nadvantage.\nExperience working with ERP systems or engineering project management systems is a
