As Lead Engineer of SMT Manufacturing Line, you will play a central part in strengthening production readiness, supporting complex board builds, and helping ensure the line performs reliably from early manufacturability review through prototype and first-article execution.\nThis opportunity is perfect for a motivated dynamic professional who will be one of the first members of a newly established team for a brand new manufacturing process using cutting-edge technologies.\nResponsibilities\nReview Gerber files and CAD data early to identify manufacturability issues.\nUse CAM software to translate design data into machine programs for stencil printers, pick-and-place machines, and AOI systems.\nDesign custom thermal recipes for complex boards using reflow oven profiling tools.\nOptimize and fine-tune SMT line equipment including printers, pick-and-place machines, reflow ovens, and AOI systems.\nUse AOI yield data to trace upstream failures on the line.\nRead and react to real-time manufacturing metrics such as OEE, yield rates, and DPMO.\nWrite work instructions, golden-sample profiles, and tooling requirements for handover to production.\nSplit time between engineering office tasks and SMT floor support, including prototype builds and first-article monitoring.\nRequirements\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation & Robotics, Manufacturing Engineering, or Industrial Engineering.\n4+ years of experience in SMT manufacturing, including NPI, prototyping, or launch engineering.\nStrong understanding of the SMT process, including solder paste printing, pick-and-place optimization, and reviewing Gerber files and CAD data for manufacturability issues such as pad geometry or board-edge component placement.\nProficiency with CAM software for translating design data into machine programs for stencil printers, pick-and-place machines, and AOI systems, along with experience using reflow oven profiling tools such as KIC or ECD.\nKnowledge of mechatronic systems across SMT equipment, including printers, pick-and-place machines, reflow ovens, and AOI.\nAbility to read and respond to real-time manufacturing metrics, including OEE, yield rates, and defect counts (DPMO).\nFamiliarity with IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001.\nEnglish proficiency at B2 (Upper-Intermediate) level for electronic manufacturing terminology.\nEligibility to work in Bulgaria.\nIndustry certifications such as IPC-A-610 or J-STD-001, or vendor-specific SMT equipment certifications such as ASM, Fuji, Panasonic, or Universal master technician certifications, are highly valued.\nBenefits\nHow to Apply / What Happens Next:\n1.
