As we continue to expand our footprint across Africa and beyond, building the right team across markets is critical to sustaining our growth.\nROLE OVERVIEW\nWe are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Operations Professional with strong payroll-calculation, reconciliation, variance-analysis, and data-accuracy skills to support end-to-end payroll operations for multiple clients in Tanzania, with the expectation of growing into a role that also supports other African jurisdictions over time. The successful candidate will assist with accurate payroll processing, timely statutory remittances, employee salary payments, and compliance with Tanzanian labor and tax regulations.\nThe role requires prior experience using an HCMS/HRMS system (mandatory) and a working knowledge of Tanzanian statutory processes. A recognized accounting certification,CPA(T) (issued by the National Board of Accountants and Auditors, NBAA) or ACCA, is mandatory for this role. We're looking for someone eager to expand their scope beyond a single country as they develop in the role. You will report to the Senior Payroll Operations Executive/Senior Global Payroll Operations Manager for the region.\nWHAT YOU WILL OWN\n Support full-cycle payroll processing for Payroll Outsourcing, EOR, and SaaS clients in Tanzania.\nProcess salaries, allowances, bonuses, overtime, and deductions accurately.\nSupport timely and accurate payment of employee salaries.\n\nAssist with computing, filing, and remitting statutory obligations (PAYE, NSSF, WCF, and other levies) within deadlines.\nMaintain working relationships with Tanzanian statutory bodies and regulatory authorities.\nProgressively take on payroll support for other African jurisdictions as capacity and experience grow, receiving structured exposure to additional jurisdictions and progressively taking on defined cross-border payroll support responsibilities.\nSupport payroll reconciliations and variance analysis.\n\nAssist with internal and external payroll audits.\n\nEnsure payroll data accuracy within HCMS/HRMS platforms.\n\nTrack regulatory updates and support implementation of compliance changes.\nPrepare payroll reports and client summaries.\n\nPerform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.\n\nEXPERIENCE\n Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, Economics, or related field.\nCertified Public Accountant, CPA(T) (issued by the National Board of Accountants and Auditors, NBAA), or ACCA qualification is mandatory.\nMinimum of 2-4 years' payroll experience in Tanzania.\n\nWillingness and ability to grow into supporting payroll for additional African jurisdictions beyond Tanzania.\nExperience handling multi-client payroll or payroll outsourcing is an advantage.\nMandatory experience using HCMS/HRMS systems.\n\nWorking knowledge of Tanzanian tax regulations, NSSF processes, and labor laws.\nComfort liaising with statutory authorities.\n\nExposure to payroll in more than one country is an advantage.\n\nGood Excel skills.\n\nStrong numerical and analytical skills.\n\nGood communication and time management skills.\n\nHigh level of integrity and confidentiality.\n\nKEY COMPETENCIES\nStrong payroll calculation, reconciliation, and variance-analysis skills\n\nHigh attention to detail\n\nCompliance-driven mindset\n\nWillingness to learn and grow into a senior, multi-jurisdiction role\n\nAdaptability to new regulatory frameworks\n\nAbility to meet strict deadlines\n\nProfessional stakeholder management.\nWHAT WE OFFER\n Competitive, incentive-based remuneration, health cover and stock options.\nPurpose driven work.
