This role is focused on managing a portfolio of accounts - from last-mile delivery providers and 3PLs to warehouse, distribution, and e-commerce fulfillment operators - ensuring they have the right forklift operators, pickers and packers, and drivers to keep operations running smoothly, especially during peak seasons, volume surges, and new site launches.\nYou will serve as the primary point of contact for your clients, driving satisfaction, retention, and growth while acting as a strategic partner who understands the fast-paced, throughput-driven nature of logistics operations.\nWhat You’ll Do\nServe as the lead point of contact for all account management matters for your clients, including staffing planning, escalations, and ongoing strategy\n\nBuild and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with site and warehouse managers, operations and fleet leaders, safety managers, HR leaders, and other key stakeholders\n\nDevelop a deep understanding of each client's operating environment - including shift patterns, volume forecasts, delivery routes, equipment and certification requirements, and safety standards - to proactively meet their workforce needs\n\nMaintain and grow client contracts, identifying upsell and expansion opportunities across new sites, shifts, markets, or job categories (e.g., forklift operators, pickers and packers, and drivers)\n\nDevelop trusted advisor relationships with key accounts, aligning WorkWhile's solutions to their operational goals and labor challenges, such as turnover, absenteeism, and overtime costs\n\nEnsure timely and successful fulfillment of shifts and workforce solutions in line with client expectations and SLAs\n\nCommunicate the progress of weekly, monthly, and quarterly workforce initiatives clearly to both internal teams and client stakeholders\n\nForecast and track key account metrics including fill rates, worker performance, client satisfaction scores, and revenue growth\n\nPrepare regular account health reports and business reviews tailored to operations leadership\n\nCollaborate with the Sales team to identify growth opportunities within existing accounts and expand WorkWhile's presence across new facilities, markets, or regions\n\nPartner with Ops teams to ensure worker supply meets client demand, especially during peak periods (Q4 holiday, major promotional events, seasonal volume spikes, etc.)\n\nAssist with challenging client requests or issue escalations, providing quick and effective resolutions to minimize operational disruption\n\nWhat You Bring\n3-5+ years of proven experience as an Account Manager, ideally within logistics, warehousing, last-mile delivery, staffing, or workforce solutions\n\nStrong understanding of warehouse, fulfillment, and delivery operations, labor dynamics, and the staffing challenges unique to high-volume, shift-based environments\n\nDemonstrated ability to communicate, present, and influence stakeholders at all levels - from site supervisors to VP-level operations executives\n\nExperience managing multi-site or enterprise accounts is a strong plus\n\nSolid experience with CRM software (Salesforce or similar) and Google Suite\n\nTrack record of delivering client-focused solutions and hitting retention and growth targets\n\nAbility to juggle multiple accounts and competing priorities while maintaining sharp attention to detail\n\nExcellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills\n\nStrong verbal and written communication skills\n\nUndergraduate degree preferred\n\nBenefits & Perks\nCompetitive base salary + commission with clear OTE upside\n\nEquity\n\nRemote work culture with opportunities for coworking in SF, NY, Seattle & Toronto\n\nIn-person company offsites\n\nMedical, dental, & vision coverage\n\nFlexible time off\n\n401(k)\n\nWFH stipend to support your home office needs\n\nWorkWhile has a diverse, mission-driven, and supportive culture-we look for people who want to take ownership, are energized by ambiguity, and strive to make a lasting impact.
