Your mission will be to elevate system functionality, work closely with developers, and ensure robust integration testing. This role is perfect for someone eager to contribute to a high-quality, streamlined user experience.\nIn this role, you'll also be responsible for writing automated end-to-end tests using Cypress and Playwright, supporting the team in maintaining existing features, and actively contributing to the development of new ones. You’ll help drive a \"shift-left\" approach, ensuring that quality is embedded early in the development process and championing best practices that foster a culture of testing and continuous improvement.\nKey Responsibilities\nQA Strategy:\nOwn and maintain the quality plan for the product across the release cycle: what gets tested at which layer, which quality gates apply, and how release readiness is judged. Keep it documented and current as the roadmap moves, and make the go/no-go call on releases.\nEmbed quality earlier in the delivery cycle: take part in refinement and design discussions, pressure test acceptance criteria before work starts, and surface testability and risk gaps while they are still cheap to fix. Drive this by coaching the team rather than by being the only person who tests.\nWork with developers and the product owner so the quality plan and gates are understood and consistently applied within the engineering team.\nCollaboration and Continuous Improvement: \nWork closely with developers throughout the SDLC to provide feedback on testability, code quality, and potential edge cases.\nSupport the team in both maintaining existing features and ensuring high quality in the development of new features.\nManage bugs, incidents, and root cause analysis efforts, while continuously improving quality practices and testing standards.\nTesting and Automation:\nDesign, implement, and maintain automated end-to-end and integration tests for our Laravel and React applications.\nDevelop and manage API test suites to validate backend functionality, performance, and reliability.\nLeverage Cypress and Playwright to automate high-value test scenarios that reflect real-world user behavior.\nContinuously improve and scale our test automation infrastructure to accelerate development workflows and CI/CD pipelines.\nRequired Skills & Qualifications\n4+ years of experience as a QA Engineer or Software Tester.\nExperience with Automation Testing is non negotiable. \nStrong knowledge of testing methodologies and tools\nExperience with Postman API testing suite and Cypress & Playwright.\nFamiliarity with Javascript and PHP.\nFamiliarity with Github Actions and CI/CD.\nFamiliarity with AWS services is a plus.\nThe Right Mindset \nAnalytical mind with great attention to detail.\nExcellent communication and documentation skills.\nWorking location\nWorking hours according to Central European Time (CET)\n Based in Europe or South Africa, and hired remotely unless based in the Netherlands.\nWorkwize Offers\nFlexible hybrid work environment.\nTop-notch tools and equipment provided.\nVibrant, entrepreneurial culture with opportunities for growth.\nOff-sites and multi-yearly team bonding events.\nTeam lunches and surprise events to keep things fun.\nPension scheme.
