Stronger together, we promote an environment where individuals can thrive.\nLead, Internal Communications & Digital Workplace\nLocation: Miami, FL or Houston, TX | Hybrid\nAbout the Role\nWorld Fuel is seeking a Lead, Internal Communications & Digital Workplace to help shape how employees connect with information across the organization.\nThis role will lead efforts to create a more cohesive and effective internal communications approach while managing and enhancing the company intranet (SharePoint). You will assess how information reaches employees, establish communication standards and channel strategies, improve the employee digital experience, and help ensure communications are clear, timely, and engaging.\nThe ideal candidate combines strong internal communications expertise with hands-on SharePoint experience, excellent business judgment, creativity, and a passion for improving the employee experience. This individual is a highly organized self-starter who can identify opportunities, influence stakeholders, manage competing priorities, and turn complex information into meaningful communications that drive engagement and understanding.\nWhat You'll Do\nShape Internal Communications Strategy\nAssess the current internal communications landscape, including audiences, channels, messaging, and communication frequency.\n\nIdentify opportunities to improve communication effectiveness, consistency, and coordination across the organization.\n\nHelp establish a clear channel strategy that defines when and how communications should be delivered through SharePoint, email, Teams, and other channels.\n\nDevelop and maintain a company-wide communications calendar in partnership with stakeholders across the business.\n\nCoordinate messaging, timing, audience targeting, and channel selection to create a more connected employee experience.\n\nLead the Employee Digital Workplace Experience\nManage and continuously improve the company intranet, creating a more organized, user-friendly, and engaging employee experience.\n\nCreate, update, and maintain SharePoint pages, site navigation, content libraries, links, and page layouts.\n\nEnsure content remains accurate, relevant, accessible, and aligned with company standards.\n\nPartner with content owners to update, archive, or remove outdated and duplicate content.\n\nApply strong visual and content design principles to improve usability, readability, and employee engagement.\n\nLeverage Microsoft 365 tools, including Teams, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Forms, to support communication initiatives and content delivery.\n\nEstablish Governance and Communication Standards\nHelp develop and maintain governance practices for internal communications, including channel selection, publishing standards, approval processes, and content review cycles.\n\nMaintain visibility into content ownership, approval workflows, review schedules, and publishing responsibilities.\n\nCreate templates, toolkits, and publishing guidelines that strengthen consistency and reduce duplicative or uncoordinated communications.\n\nGuide stakeholders on communication best practices and publishing standards.\n\nCreate Compelling Content\nTranslate complex business, operational, and technical information into clear, concise, and engaging employee communications.\n\nDevelop content that helps employees understand company priorities, initiatives, and business updates.\n\nCreate professional graphics and visual content using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design platforms while maintaining brand standards.\n\nPartner Across the Business\nBuild strong relationships with Human Resources, Marketing, Legal, IT, Finance, and business leaders across the organization.\n\nGather information from subject matter experts and guide content from development through publication.\n\nAdvise stakeholders on communication strategy, audience targeting, timing, and channel selection.\n\nManage sensitive and confidential information with professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment.\n\nMeasure and Improve Effectiveness\nMonitor intranet performance, communication engagement, and employee feedback.\n\nUse data and insights to improve content quality, communication effectiveness, audience reach, and channel utilization.\n\nIdentify communication gaps and recommend practical solutions that strengthen employee understanding and engagement.\n\nSupport ongoing content governance through regular reviews and updates.\n\nWhat We're Looking For\nExperience in internal communications, corporate communications, employee communications, or a related field.\n\nDemonstrated success coordinating cross-functional communications and influencing stakeholders across multiple business functions.\n\nExperience developing communication strategies, governance frameworks, editorial calendars, or communication plans.\n\nHands-on SharePoint experience, including content management, site administration, navigation, and publishing.\n\nStrong writing, editing, and storytelling skills with the ability to simplify complex information for diverse audiences.\n\nExperience creating visual content using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design tools.\n\nStrong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.\n\nAbility to influence stakeholders and drive alignment without direct authority.\n\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.\n\nAdvanced proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, including Teams, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.\n\nWhy Join World Fuel?\nThis is an opportunity to build and shape how employees experience communication across a global organization.
