Working alongside program specialists, the Program Assistant serves newly arrived and established refugee and immigrant clients holistically, helping them find and keep employment, build English and life skills, and connect with community resources as they adjust to life in a new community and work toward long-term self-sufficiency.\nThis is an entry level role offering meaningful, hands-on experience walking alongside people who are rebuilding their lives in a new country. The ideal candidate brings compassion and patience, the professionalism and confidence to hold clients accountable to their goals, and the humility to seek guidance from specialists and the program manager when situations become challenging. The role is Fulltime, 40 hrs. a week.\nROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:\nEmployment Programs Support (Matching Grant and RSS Employment)\nAssist Employment Specialists with client care and case management for new arrivals and established clients.\nHelp clients build resumes, complete job applications, and prepare for interviews.\nSupport job placements through application assistance, interview preparation, and transportation as needed.\nHelp facilitate job-readiness classes.\nConduct 6-month, 12-month, and 180-day follow-ups to support job retention and program outcomes.\nAdult Education Support\nRefer clients to community ESL providers and follow up to encourage consistent attendance.\nSupport instructors and volunteers in the classroom as needed.\nHelp program specialist coordinate classes and workshops with program specialists, including financial literacy, entrepreneurship, digital literacy, and immigration workshops.\nWalk-In Services Support\nSupport program specialists in Walk-In Services as needed by welcoming clients, identifying their needs, and providing direct help or referrals.\nAssist clients with everyday needs such as forms, applications, correspondence, and connections to community resources.\nAdministrative Support\nObtain client signatures for applications and program documents.\nMaintain accurate, timely client files, case notes, and data entry across programs.\nHandle check and mail delivery.\nParticipate in staff meetings and trainings.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nJOB REQUIREMENTS:\nMature and personal Christian faith\nCommitted to the mission, vision, and values of World Relief\nDesire to serve and empower the Church to impact vulnerable communities\nAble to affirm and/or acknowledge World Reliefs Core Beliefs, Statement of Faith, Christian Identity and National Association of Evangelicals' For the Health of The Nation document\nValid drivers license, access to reliable vehicle and ability to pass MVR standards \nProficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, and Word) and internet applications \nExperience in a social service setting assisting people in need (volunteering experience)\nDemonstrated understanding of case management processes\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:\nA High School Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)\nPrevious case management experience working with vulnerable populations (volunteer experience preferred but not required)\nUnderstanding of employment services and adult education as it relates to refugees and immigrants\nAbility to speak another language (preferred but not required)\nCultural sensitivity working with people from diverse backgrounds and beliefs\nAbility to problem solve promptly and effectively\nA flexible, motivated team player who thrives in a collaborative environment\nAbility to prioritize and stay organized in a fast-paced, changing
