This role supports campaigns focused on child wellbeing advocacy, ensures brand compliance across all materials, creates compelling content from field activities, manages communication assets systematically, and builds internal capacity for effective storytelling while supporting emergency communications when required.\nMAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES\nExecute digital media plans and manage social media presence and website content\nBrand Compliance Checks:\nReview posts and materials to ensure they follow WVI branding guidelines.\nFlag inconsistencies or outdated visuals for revision.\nAnalytics & Reporting:\nTrack engagement metrics (likes, shares, reach, click- through rates).\nPrepare monthly social media performance summaries\nWebsite Content Upload:\nDevelop high-quality content for the website ensuring WVI Nepal’s tone and branding.\nCreate and curate engaging content (photos, videos, stories) from field visits following WVI standards\nField Visit Coordination for Content Gathering\nPlan and coordinate with program teams to schedule field visits aligned with project milestones.\nCapture and Document Stories of Change:\nConduct interviews with beneficiaries, staff, and community members.\nCollect quotes, testimonials, and human-interest stories that reflect program outcomes.\nReview the stories collected by field considering dissemination appropriate context.\nPhotography and Videography:\nTake high-resolution photos and short video clips during field visits.\nEnsure visuals are emotionally engaging, well-composed, and contextually relevant.\nTranslation:\nTranslate stories into English or Nepali as needed, ensuring cultural sensitivity and clarity.\nSupport Office/Donor Coordination:\nRespond to content requests from support offices or donors in a timely manner.\nCustomize content packages based on specific donor interests or reporting needs\nDesign and produce factsheets, newsletters, and internal publications\nDraft and Distribute Internal Newsletters\nCompile monthly or quarterly newsletters featuring program updates, staff highlights, upcoming events, and key organizational messages.\nEnsure content is clear, concise, and visually engaging.\nCreate and Maintain Internal Communication Materials\nDevelop factsheets, FAQs, and briefing notes on key initiatives, campaigns, or organizational changes.\nUpdate materials regularly to reflect current priorities\nSupport Orientation for New Staff\nPrepare communication kits or welcome materials that introduce WVI Nepal’s mission, values, and communication protocols.\nContribute to advocacy campaigns and public efforts for child wellbeing issues in Nepal\nDevelop Advocacy Communication Materials\nDraft and design posters, flyers, social media graphics, and factsheets tailored to campaign themes.\nEnsure materials are accessible, child-friendly, and aligned with WVI Nepal’s messaging.\nCoordinate with Field Teams and Partners\nLiaise with program staff and local partners to gather stories, data, and visuals that support advocacy messages.\nEnsure consistent messaging across all campaign locations.\nAssist in Policy Communication\nPrepare simplified summaries of policy briefs or research findings for public dissemination.\nSupport the creation of infographics or explainer videos on child wellbeing issues.\nSystematically manage and maintain comprehensive communication asset inventory\nMaintain a Centralized Digital Asset Library\nOrganize photos, videos, stories, comms merchandise and design files in a structured folder\nEnsure Consent and Safeguarding Compliance\nStore signed consent forms linked to corresponding photos/videos.\nArchive Outdated or Unused Materials\nPeriodically review and archive old or irrelevant content to reduce clutter.\nMaintain a separate archive folder for historical reference.\nMonitor Usage and Requests\nTrack requests for merchandise, assets, photos, videos, or stories from internal teams or donors.\nRecord how and where assets are used to avoid duplication and ensure relevance.\nSupport capacity building for non-communications staff in writing, photography, and videography\nSupport emergency communications during disasters and coordinate donor/support office field visits\nAssist in Drafting Emergency Messages\nPrepare initial communication drafts (press releases, social media updates, internal alerts) during emergencies under the guidance of the Communications Manager.\nEnsure messages are timely, accurate, and aligned with organizational tone.\nCoordinate with Field Teams for Real-Time Updates\nGather verified information, photos, and videos from affected areas.\nMaintain regular contact with field staff to monitor developments.\nKNOWLEDGE/QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLE\nRequired Professional Experience\nMinimum 1-2 years working experience in Communications/Media field, Development sector, or relevant fields\nDemonstrated experience in content creation for social media platforms\nProven experience in visual production including video editing and transcription\nExperience in graphics design and digital content creation\nRequired Education, training, license, registration, and certification\nBachelor's degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, or equivalent field\nProficiency in relevant software applications for content creation and design\nStrong English and Nepali language capabilities with translation skills\nPreferred Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications\nExperience working with international NGOs or development organizations\nKnowledge of child protection and safeguarding principles\nUnderstanding of Nepal's media landscape and cultural context\nUnderstanding of emergency communications and crisis management\nPhotography and videography certification or training\nTravel and Work Environment\nRegular field visits to program areas across Nepal (30-40% travel)\nAbility to work in rural and remote
