The Finance trainee aims to learn and develop practical skills on financial accounting, processes and procedures in WVI Nepal’s context by working together with assigned teams/individuals as per assigned tasks and assisting to achieve WVIN’s goal.\nMAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES\nSystematic Filing and Documentation\nEnsure all original invoices and supporting documents are properly collected and maintained.\nPrint payment and claim vouchers, invoices, receipts, and documents file systematically.\nMaintain complete and accessible financial documentation for audit and monitoring purposes.\nEnsure documents are properly organized according to established filing procedures of organizational Guidance.\nVerify that payment documents have appropriate approvals and supporting evidence.\nReporting and Record Keeping and Monitoring\nPrepare vouchers, accounting reports of petty cash settlements.\nReconcile payment supporting documents with financial transactions.\nAssist in monthly financial reporting and ensure completeness of records.\nSupport in compilation of West Field Office financial reports and required data.\nSupport the Finance team in reviewing PNGO transactions during monthly reporting.\nAssist in Risk-Based Financial Monitoring (RBFM) of PNGO transactions.\nIdentify discrepancies or missing documents of payment.\nFollow up on pending financial documents and communicate them to the timely settlement.\nFund Management and Communication\nAssist in communicating with PNGOs regarding monthly fund forecast and fund requests and support preparation and compilation.\nReview fund requests for completeness and required supporting information.\nFollow up with PNGOs on pending fund requests and other financial information and documents.\nSupport and compile financial information of Partner for the West Field Office\nSupport to Operation/Program\nAssist to field operations and program teams as assigned.\nAssist in processing administrative invoices, employee claims, and other routine payments as required.\nPerform other finance-related tasks assigned by the Field Finance team to support WVIN’s operational goals.\nKNOWLEDGE/QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLE\nRequired Education, training, license, registration and certification\nAt least a bachelor’s degree in a Management, Finance or related field.\nPreferred Knowledge and Qualifications\nKnowledge\nBasic knowledge of accounting theory and financial management and documentation required.
