The role supports Child Friendly Spaces and Women and Girls Friendly Spaces and delivers awareness raising and capacity building activities.\nMajor Responsibilities: \nProvide/facilitate case management, support for women and children exposed to violence through working in close collaboration with MOWSA and other partners working the targeted locations.\nAssess needs, develop care plans, and provide direct support to vulnerable children and women exposed to violence. Ensure survivors access health, legal, and social services.\nProvide individual and group psychological first aid/psycho-social support to children and women affected by the conflict to enable them to restore their safety, dignity and hope through working in close collaboration with MHPSS officer mobile health team.\nProvide a safe and nurturing environment for children affected by crises, ensuring access to play, learning, and protection activities and deliver psychosocial support through structured activities and counseling to promote emotional recovery and resilience through CFS and Facilitate empowerment programs, including life skills and recreational activities to strengthen resilience, independence, and long-term recovery among women and girls through working with space facilitators.\nClosely work with local authorities and relevant government sector (women and children affairs, education, social affairs, schools etc) to facilitate recovery and reiteration of the affected population through actively participating in district level coordination meetings\nEngage local leaders, schools, and faith-based groups to raise awareness on child protection, violence against women and girls, and child rights, referral mechanisms, available service for women and children exposed/ vulnerable to violence\nRequired Education, training, license, registration, and certification:\nFirst degree in social work, sociology, psychology, education or other eleven fields. \nRequired Professional Experience:\n At least 2 years relevant experience in child protection and Violence against women ang girls related areas, \nKnowledge and experience on Gender Based Violence programming an asset. \nKnowledge of and ability to implement integrated CP responses, including Gender Based Violence. \n Awareness of or interest in community based protection mechanisms. \nDirect case management and experience working with children and adolescents is an asset. \nDemonstrated flexibility and creativity in planning and problem solving.\nPreferred Knowledge and Qualifications:\n University degree in social work, sociology, psychology, child protection, public health and relevant fields of social sciences. \nKnowledge and skills of and ability to implement integrated CP responses, including Gender Based Violence. \nAwareness of or interest in community based protection mechanisms\nLanguage Requirements:\nEnglish and knowledge of local language is advantageous \nTravel and/or Work Environment Requirement:\nFreqent travel to the project sites and to NO as needed\nWorld Vision is a child-focused organization that is committed to safeguarding all children as well as adult beneficiaries and has zero tolerance for incidents of violence or abuse against children or adults, including sexual exploitation or abuse, committed either by employees or others affiliated with our work.
