Together, we shape the evolution.\nThe opportunity\nIf you are an engineer who enjoys turning loosely defined requirements into reliable automated tests, and who learns new tools quickly, we want to hear from you.\nThe Core Foundation & Integration Tribe (CFI) implements and delivers the Issuing core applications, from Card Issuing lifecycle to Transactions clearing & settlement. With over 150 million cards and 1.16 billion monthly transactions, our platforms operate at the forefront of capacity and performance.\nWe are now seeking a QA Automation Engineer to help us build fast, reliable test automation for our Issuing platforms and contribute to our strategic product transformation.\nYou will join a dynamic, co-located team of tech leads, developers and testers. You will automate end-to-end business scenarios on our custom-built testing framework and help keep our core applications reliable throughout the whole development lifecycle.\nDay-to-day responsibilities\nBuild and maintain automated test suites on our custom-built testing framework, extending it with new keywords and libraries where needed.\nClarify what matters in features with limited context, then turn them into automated coverage using the existing framework or another suitable tool.\nAutomate end-to-end scenarios that span REST APIs, messaging flows and databases, from quick smoke tests to full regression suites.\nWrite maintainable Python code, Robot Framework tests and Shell scripts that prepare test data, set up environments or run suites.\nTake part in code reviews and keep CI/CD pipelines green by fixing flaky tests at the root cause.\nUse AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code) to work faster and improve code quality.\nCollaborate with developers, business analysts and tech leads to understand new features early.\nShare what you learn with the team and suggest ways to improve how we test.\nWho are we looking for\nWe look for big thinkers. People who can drive positive change, step up and show what’s next - people with passion, can-do attitude and a hunger to learn and grow. In practice this means:\nDegree in a scientific field and 3+ years of hands-on test automation experience, with a software engineering mindset that goes beyond test scripting.\nHands-on experience with Python, Robot Framework and Shell scripting (sh/bash).\nExperience with REST API testing, SQL databases, Git and CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI.\nPractical experience using AI coding assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code) in day-to-day work.\nFast learner who ramps up on an existing framework, picks the right tool for the job and delivers working automation with little context.\nStrong analytical and debugging skills, with attention to edge cases; Scrum experience is a plus.\nExperience in the payments industry, including credit card schemes (Visa, Mastercard) and the credit card lifecycle, is a plus.\nISTQB certification is a plus.\nExcellent written and spoken English (C1); additional languages (French, German, Italian) are appreciated.\nPerks & Benefits\nAt Worldline you’ll get the chance to be at the heart of the global payments technology industry and shape how the world pays and gets paid.
