The role embeds risk management practices, monitors compliance, coordinates audits, manages operational risk registers, supports governance forums and drives continual improvement across operational controls.\nThe opportunity\nWe are looking for an energetic risk and compliance manager with experience in operational risk, compliance and exposure to banking and finance compliance challenges.\nDay-to-day responsibilities\nKey Accountabilities\nOperational Risk Management\nUnderstand the global Operational Risk Framework.\nFacilitate operational risk assessments and maintain risk registers.\nMonitor treatment plans and emerging risks.\nPrepare executive risk reporting.\nRegulatory & Contractual Compliance\nMonitor contractual compliance.\nSupport APRA-related supplier obligations.\nCoordinate evidence requests and compliance reviews.\nGovernance\nPrepare governance reporting.\nCoordinate Risk Committee activities.\nMaintain governance documentation and action registers.\nControl Assurance\nReview controls across Incident, Change, Problem, Access, Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, Information Security, Third Party Risk and Service Level Management.\nAudit Management\nCoordinate internal and external audits.\nManage remediation activities and evidence collection.\nOperational Resilience\nSupport business continuity planning, resilience testing and crisis exercises.\nPolicy & Process Management\nDevelop and maintain operational policies, standards and procedures.\nPromote a strong operational risk culture.\nWho are we looking for\nYou come from a payments or financial services background who is keen to hit the ground running. Strong analytical thinker ready to work in a fast paced environment who is familiar with CPS 230 and CPS234 obligations\nExperience\n Essential\nSignificant operational risk management experience.Financial services experience.\nStrong governance and audit management capability.\nExcellent stakeholder management and reporting skills.\nExperience developing operational controls.\nHighly Desirable\nAPRA Prudential Standards (CPS 230, CPS 234 and related standards).\nMerchant acquiring or payments industry experience.\nITIL, ISO 27001, PCI DSS, ISO 22301.\nServiceNow GRC.\nLeadership Attributes\nHigh integrity, commercially aware, collaborative, analytical, influential, calm under pressure, detail focused and committed to continuous improvement.\nQualifications\nDegree in Business, Risk, Information Technology or equivalent experience.
