We’re looking for a Product Owner to join our ever evolving Card Acceptance team and help shape the future of global commerce.\nWhat you’ll own\nYou will work closely with product management and business stakeholders to understand our product strategy, the wider industry context, strategic initiatives and problems and opportunities for our customers, internal teams and operational colleagues.\n\nAct as an ambassador for the product internally and externally working with all stakeholders to analyse their requirements and design.\n\nPlay a role in Agile ceremonies such as stand-ups, sprint planning, review and retrospective sessions and provide business direction to the team, with an outside in, “customer first” and return on investment (ROI) mindset.\n\nAssist Product Management with the design and delivery of new features and existing feature enhancements where required.\n\nOwn the refinement of features, providing supporting information, document specifications and carrying out data analysis/mapping as necessary to enable the creation of stories with the team that deliver real value and meet the Definition of Ready with clear acceptance criteria.\n\nYou will clearly articulate the priority and desired outcome of items in the team backlog and ensure it is maintained within Jira at a high level of quality.\n\nYou and your team will provide regular demonstrations of your work to maintain a feedback loop with critical stakeholders to ensure changes meet acceptance criteria and are signed off.\n\nYou will work with cross-functional teams to plan product releases.\n\nYou will provide regular updates and feedback on team performance against key milestones, highlighting any items impacting on successful delivery and escalate issues/ risks appropriately.\n\nYou will own your changes from end to end - investigating and resolving issues/challenges, mitigating/managing blockers, obtaining feedback, and constantly seeking improvement.\n\nYou will produce specifications and user/training guides as necessary and support the handover of delivered changes from the Product Team into BAU.\n\nOther related duties assigned as needed.\n\nWhat you’ll bring\nQualifications/certifications and relevant experience in a software development environment as a Business Analyst or Product Owner\n\nKnowledge of agile methodologies\n\nStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities\n\nDemonstrated experience in scoping product roadmap initiatives, refining epics/ features, writing and prioritizing user stories and defining acceptance criteria\n\nExperience of creating detailed specifications and user/ training guides\n\nAbility to understand multiple user journeys and regional requirements\n\nAn understanding of APIs, their design and lifecycle\n\nExcellent interpersonal skills, the ability to work cross-functionally and across organizational boundaries with multiple internal and external stakeholders’ engagement\n\nIt’s a bonus if you have\nExperience in financial services, especially Card processing, POS or Finance would be advantageous\n\nAbout the team\nOur inclusive and global teams win together every day.
