You will cover operational, regulatory, financial, and technology risks while gaining exposure to diverse products and jurisdictions.\nYou will lead and execute on audits from planning to reporting, partner with global stakeholders, and strengthen controls as Zepz scales. This is ideal for a curious professional eager to understand a global payments business end-to-end.\nWhat You Bring to the Table\nWe’re looking for someone who brings:\n7-10 years experience in internal/external audit, preferably within fintech, payments, or financial services.\nExperience leading and executing on audit engagements from planning through to reporting.\nStrong understanding of risk management, governance, and the regulatory frameworks of E-Money Institutions/Payment Institutions (PSD2, AML Regulations, FCA Handbook).\nAbility to analyse data, challenge constructively, and form evidence-based conclusions.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills for complex topics.\nProactive mindset, comfortable in fast-paced environments, and able to work independently.\nWhat You Will Focus OnDeliver Risk-Based Audits\nLead and deliver internal audits from planning through to reporting and follow-up.\nAssess the design and effectiveness of controls across operational, regulatory, financial and technology processes.\nIdentify risks, determine root causes and provide practical recommendations to strengthen controls and improve outcomes.\nProvide Assurance Across a Global Regulatory EnvironmentDeliver assurance work across our regulated business and assess compliance with regulatory obligations across multiple jurisdictions.\nEvaluate controls supporting areas such as Safeguarding, AML, Consumer Protection, Data Privacy, and Regulatory Reporting.\nDevelop understanding of evolving regulatory expectations and emerging risks affecting the global payments and remittance industry.\nPartner with StakeholdersBuild and maintain effective working relationships with internal stakeholders across the 1st and 2nd Lines of Defense.\nCommunicate audit observations clearly and support stakeholders in developing effective remediation plans.\nContribute to continuous improvement of the Internal Audit function and support audit planning and risk assessment activities.\nUse Data and TechnologyUse data analytics, automation and AI-enabled audit techniques to enhance audit coverage, support analysis and improve efficiency.\nLeverage technology to identify insights, perform testing and strengthen assurance activities.\nMaintain an awareness of emerging technologies and their impact on business risks and controls.\n Nice to HaveProfessional qualifications (ACA, CIA, CAMS, ICA, CISA) or Big 4 background.\nExperience in payments, remittances, or e-money across multiple jurisdictions.\nData analytics skills (SQL, Python, Tableau or similar) and familiarity with Mode.\nInterest in emerging tech like digital wallets, digital assets, and crypto markets.\n AI Literacy & ToolsAs Zepz continues to build AI into how we work, we expect everyone to engage with it as a core part of their role.
