This senior role combines technical leadership, project delivery, client engagement and business development. You will provide technical oversight across complex hydrology and water management projects while supporting the continued growth of our Water Solutions capability across EMEA.\nWorking alongside Principal Consultants and Technical Directors, you will lead multidisciplinary teams, develop client relationships and help shape our hydrology service offering across the energy transition, industrial water, hydrogen, renewables, mining, chemicals, power generation and major infrastructure sectors.\nTechnical leadership\nLead and oversee complex hydrological, flood risk and drainage studies.\n\nProvide technical direction on water resources, climate resilience and integrated water management projects.\n\nReview and assure hydrological and hydraulic modelling outputs.\n\nUndertake independent technical reviews and provide quality assurance for major project deliverables.\n\nSupport the development of innovative and sustainable water management solutions.\n\nProvide specialist advice throughout feasibility, concept, FEED, detailed design, construction and operational phases.\n\nProject and commercial leadership\nManage major multidisciplinary projects and programmes.\n\nDirect project resources, budgets, schedules and risk management activities.\n\nEnsure the delivery of safe, high-quality and commercially successful outcomes.\n\nWork with engineering, environmental and advisory teams to develop integrated solutions.\n\nSupport project governance, controls, contract management and commercial performance.\n\nClient and business development\nDevelop and maintain trusted relationships with clients and stakeholders.\n\nSupport strategic account management and identify repeat and new business opportunities.\n\nLead or contribute to technical and commercial proposals, scopes and estimates.\n\nIdentify emerging client needs and support the development of new service offerings.\n\nRepresent Worley at client meetings, workshops and relevant industry events.\n\nPeople and capability development\nMentor Senior Consultants, Consultants and Graduates.\n\nSupport recruitment, retention, succession planning and capability development.\n\nPromote technical excellence through regional and global technical networks.\n\nFoster a culture of collaboration, inclusion, safety and continuous improvement.\n\nHow to copy from a Word Document\nA degree in Hydrology, Water Resources Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, Geography or a related discipline.\n\nSubstantial relevant consultancy or industry experience, with responsibility for technical and project leadership.\n\nChartered status through an appropriate professional institution.\n\nStrong technical expertise in hydrology, flood risk, drainage or water resources.\n\nProven experience leading multidisciplinary project teams and managing commercial performance.\n\nExcellent communication, stakeholder engagement and client relationship management skills.\n\nExperience supporting business development and work-winning activities.\n\nAbility to mentor and develop technical professionals.\n\nA proactive, collaborative approach and strong commitment to safety and quality.\n\nExperience that would be advantageous\nExperience delivering projects across energy transition, hydrogen, industrial water, mining, chemicals, conventional energy, ports or major infrastructure.\n\nExperience of UK and/or international hydrology, flood risk and drainage requirements.\n\nExperience leading Flood Risk Assessments, drainage strategies and water resource studies for complex developments.\n\nExperience supporting strategic water planning, climate adaptation or water security programmes.\n\nAn established profile within professional institutions, technical networks or specialist forums.\n\nWorking knowledge of relevant tools such as FEH, ReFH2, Flood Modeller, TUFLOW, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, InfoWorks ICM, ArcGIS, QGIS, GoldSim.\n\nMoving forward together\nWe want our people to be energized and empowered to drive sustainable impact.
