Leveraging extensive experience and AI-enabled delivery, we support customers in navigating complexity as they meet today's needs and transition to more sustainable solutions.\n JOB PURPOSE\nThe Engineering Manager will oversee and coordinate the development and implementation of FEED /EPC design and detailed engineering of the project.\nCoordinate the development and implementation of feasibility and techno economic studies and in-house multi-disciplined engineering projects, relating to both new facilities and modifications to existing plant and systems. Generally, handles several projects and studies at a time, with full responsibility for delivering on time. \nControls project plans and budgets; ensures that effective supervision and project administration is carried out; provides information to management on project progress.\nKEY ACCOUNTABILITIES\nJob Specific Accountabilities\nTechnical Assurance\nTechnical Integrity: Ensures the engineering team is verifying & achieving technical Integrity of project deliverable(s) in compliance with:Legislation and Regulatory Commitments\nInternational Codes and Standards as listed in project documentation \nBasis of Design\nContracts, annexures \n\nTechnical Audits: Engage engineering team &/or carry out technical audits (Discipline specific) to verify & ensure compliance to specifications &/or industry best practices.\nTechnical/Design Reviews: Coordinate & align all Project design reviews with the counterpart, identify/assign respective attendees from the engineering team, verify compliance with the approved respective procedure/Terms of reference, coordinate with other Packages engineering managers (as required) for involvement in reviews requiring input from their package(s) team.\nReview & approval: review & approval of critical “Multidiscipline” engineering documents, such as Basis of design, engineering execution plan, Philosophies, procedures & specifications. Final approval of Engineering\nTechnical Queries (post Discipline processing) & request for information as issued by CONTRACTOR.\nMonitors CONTRACTOR’s overall compliance & engineering quality, provides necessary feedback for observations, deviations & areas of improvements (Preventive/Corrective actions) in the Project Quality system.\nProvide input to project lesson learned register.\nPerformance Management\nCompetency management: Monitoring engineering team competencies, provide feedback about deficiencies (as applicable) to respective Team members, identifying areas of improvement, apply mentoring & coaching as & when required, communicate & screen substitutes (if required).\nProductivity management: Monitoring engineering team productivity, provide feedback about deficiencies (as applicable) to respective Team members, clearly define productivity targets to team & agree recovery plans (productivity improvement forecasts), apply mentoring & coaching as & when required, communicate & screen substitutes (if required).\nKPI’s setting: Identify & monitor a set of KPI’s for the function, KPI’s shall be inline/supporting the project/function KPI’s & shall be Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, and Time-Bound.\nPerformance assessment: Carry out regular performance assessment with the team members based on the Set individual KPI’s & the overall function performance, the outcome shall be fed back to the individuals, clearly identifying areas of improvement.\nResources Management\nAssess resource loading based on Project progress/forecasts reports & as required request additional resources to support Project delivery.\nManage/approve Engineering Team leaves & ensures the leaves are cascaded to the overall Project leave planner, ensure handover’s & deputations are in place during planned leaves.\nManage/approve Engineering Team time writing & time sheets.\nProcess employees’ requests/ requirements for the assignment as per the respective Project procedures.\nAddress conflicts & disputes within the team & align a resolution (as & when required).\nEngineering Change Management\nApproval of all Engineering Concession requests issued within the CONTRACT (post Discipline verification), prior to Project management approval, - Ensure final Approval of Concession request from ADNOC Technical Authority (Engineering Support manager).\nMonitoring & ensuring (for the overall engineering activities) Engineering design change management is being carried out for all Project engineering changes with proper multidiscipline impact assessment & the same is registered & controlled (as & when required).\nQUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS\nMinimum Qualification\nBachelor’s degree in engineering is a MUST\nMust be fluent in English language (Written & Spoken).\nMinimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills\nMinimum 20+ working experience in the oil & gas industry, with at least 5 years in a similar role in Mega Oil and Gas or petrochemical projects.\nMin of 5+ years of GCC Projects experience, ADNOC Projects experience is required\nOffshore Project Experience is required\nGreenfield and brownfield project experience is required.\nPMC experience is required.\nSound knowledge of industry governing codes & standards, \nExcellent interpersonal and customer service skills.\nExcellent organizational skills and attention to detail.\nExcellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nStrong supervisory and leadership skills.\nAbility to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.\nMoving forward together\nWe want our people to be energized and empowered to drive sustainable impact.
