As part of the global Worley team, we enjoy shared resources and opportunities with more than 20 Canadian locations and 40 countries.\nWorley Canada Construction is seeking a HSE Manager to join our HSE team at our Air Products project in Edmonton, AB.\nProject Description:\n5 days on, 2 days off.\n48 hours/ Week.\nKey Responsibilities:\nDevelop the Project HSE strategy and provide leadership in the implementation of the company HSE management systems in accordance with local legislative requirements.\nDevelop and continuously improve the strategic HSE action plans in alignment with corporate HSE management systems\nRecruit and allocate necessary HSE resources and direct a team of project HSE professionals.\nEnsures the Project operates within Worley Corporate, Customer and legislative HSE requirements and expectations.\nAct as a liaison and provide interpretation of appropriate OH&S legislation as it applies to the Project.\nProvide guidance on the company incident management protocol inclusive of root cause analysis and identification of preventative measures.\nTrack and report HSE performance metrics inclusive of both leading / lagging indicators and analyse trends on the basis of continuous improvement.\nTake a leading role in emergency preparedness planning specific to potential emergency scenarios.\nTake a leading role in the development and implementation of the Project HSE risk management processes.\nMeasures and manages HSE program and performance through assessments to achieve targeted business output and improvement levels.\nFacilitates and manages HSE training and orientation requirements.\nStays current with local, provincial and federal legislation and acts as an ambassador for Worley with clients and in the community.\nThrough contacts and networks within the industry, stays current with trends, changes and improvements in HSE.\nAdministers the Project WCB Claims Management process.\nOther duties as assigned\nQualifications:\nMinimum 10 years of construction site safety experience\nNational construction safety officer certificate (NCSO) or Certificate/ Diploma in occupational Health & Safety\nPrevious HSE management experience supporting large-scale industrial construction projects within the oil & gas, petrochemical, LNG, mining, or heavy industrial sectors.\nIn depth knowledge of HSE Management Systems\nEndorse and promote the expected behaviors, competencies, and performance associated with HSE leadership at both site and management levels.\nAbility to handle highly confidential information and situations\nWorley Canada Construction strives to be an industry leader in health, safety and environmental performance.
