As part of the global Worley team, we enjoy shared resources and opportunities with more than 20 Canadian locations and 40 countries.\nWorley is seeking multiple HSE Advisors to join our team in Edmonton for days and nights shift.\nWorking Conditions:\nSite-based role, Edmonton locals only.\n\n5 days on, 2 days off.\n\nThe HSE Advisor facilitates the safe performance of work. The aim of this role is to utilize professional judgement in assessing risk, reviewing risk and work practices, and determining the best practice to achieve compliance with regulatory standards.\nResponsibilities:\nKnow and manage the Site-Specific Safety Plan or the Site-Specific Location Plan.\n\nMonitor compliance with the Worley Safety Management System.\n\nMonitor compliance with Client’s Safety Processes as well as provincially legislated safety regulations.\n\nMonitor compliance with Sub Contractor Site Specific Safety Plan.\n\nWork with Line Management, Safety Officers, and Client Safety Representatives; and also interface with internal and external customers on issues related to safety.\n\nSupport, advise and mentor Construction Management team members including front line supervisors (Foreman) regarding HSE accountabilities and implementation of HSE practices and procedures.\n\nMaintain a presence in the field daily - take an active role in on-site safety meetings, task hazard analysis, and incident investigations.\n\nEnsure Job Hazard Analysis and Field Level Risk Assessments are completed.\n\nEnsure that all workers and visitors have the proper orientations and training requirements.\n\nGuide and Mentor employees on Worley and Industry specific safety policies and procedures.\n\nConduct regular safety audits and worksite inspections.\n\nEffectively plan, organize, communicate, and monitor progress on tasks and projects as they relate to Safety.\n\nEnsure the application of best practices and ethics when dealing with confidential information\n\nMaintain all documentation requirements as outlined in the Site-Specific Safety Plan.\n\nPrepare and provide site safety statistical information to HSE Administrator and clients.\n\nOther duties as assigned\n\nQualifications:\nPost-secondary education in Occupational Health and Safety-Diploma is an asset.\n\nNational Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) certificate is required.\n\nCanadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) is considered an asset.\n\n5+ years of Industrial Construction Site Safety Experience.\n\nExpert knowledge and skills in order to generate and promote a positive health and safety culture.\n\nA proven track record of excellence in safety and job completion.\n\nProven competency in the operation of key office software and productivity tools such as: MS Office suite of tools.\n\nInterpersonal skills - establish direct working relationships and rapport with all levels within the organization.\n\nCommunication skills - demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.\n\nCustomer service, including developing and improving customer relationships internally and externally.\n\nAttention to detail and a focus on producing a quality product in a timely manner .\n\nAbility to appropriately handle highly confidential information and situations.\n\nEnsure all safety legislation is adhered to and policies and practices are adopted.\n\nWorley strives to be an industry leader in health, safety and environmental performance.
