Leveraging extensive experience and AI-enabled delivery, we support customers in navigating complexity as they meet today's needs and transition to more sustainable solutions.\nThe Role\nThe Instrumentation & Controls Engineer provides instrumentation and control (I&C) engineering services to Worley and its customers. The role supports the delivery of I&C engineering work across projects, contributing to design, technical documentation, procurement, construction, commissioning, and project execution while working under the guidance of more experienced engineers.\nResponsibilities\nExecute instrumentation and controls engineering activities for assigned project scopes in accordance with Worley, client, and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.\nDevelop, review, and maintain I&C engineering deliverables, including P&IDs, loop diagrams, wiring diagrams, instrument datasheets, I/O lists, instrument location drawings, cable schedules, and material requisitions.\nParticipate in project meetings, design reviews, progress reporting, and required checking and quality assurance activities.\nSupport the development of instrumentation specifications, calculations, equipment selections, and technical documentation.\nProvide engineering support during procurement, construction, commissioning, and start-up activities, including responding to technical queries and reviewing vendor documentation.\nCoordinate with process, electrical, mechanical, piping, automation, and other disciplines to ensure effective integration of I&C systems.\nParticipate in HAZOP, LOPA, and other technical or safety reviews as required.\nIdentify technical issues, discrepancies, and scope changes and support the development and implementation of appropriate solutions.\nAssist with field verification, site visits, walkdowns, and commissioning activities where required.\nCommunicate effectively with project teams, clients, vendors, and other stakeholders.\nSupport and contribute to the development of less experienced team members as appropriate.\nRequirements\n2-10 years of instrumentation and controls engineering experience, preferably on multidisciplinary industrial projects.\nAccredited Bachelor's Degree in Instrumentation, Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, or related Engineering discipline.\nWorking knowledge of instrumentation and control systems and engineering practices.\nAbility to develop, interpret, and review I&C drawings, designs, calculations, specifications, and technical documentation.\nWorking knowledge of I&C deliverables, including:P&IDs\nLoop and wiring diagrams\nInstrument location drawings\nInstrument datasheets and specifications\nI/O lists\nCable, conduit, and tray schedules\nControl narratives\nCause and effect diagrams\nMaterial requisitions\n\nWorking knowledge of instrumentation selection and application, including flow, level, temperature, and pressure measurement.\nFamiliarity with engineering systems and workflows such as SAP and KMS, or equivalent.\nStrong communication, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to work effectively within a multidisciplinary project team.\nEIT or P.Eng. registration with APEGA, or eligibility to pursue registration, is required.\nFor applicants based in the province of British Columbia, the salary range is $74,639 to $140,784\nApplication of the pay band: Variation in salary is determined by factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, relevant years of experience, geographic location, internal pay equity, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.\nMoving forward together\nWe want our people to be energized and empowered to drive sustainable impact.
