Our team combines industry expertise, innovation, and collaboration to deliver successful project outcomes for our customers worldwide.\nAs an Intermediate Buyer, you will be responsible for managing the procurement of materials, equipment, and services to support project and operational requirements. You will play a key role in supplier engagement, commercial evaluation, contract execution, and procurement strategy, ensuring value, quality, and timely delivery. This position is suited for a procurement professional who can independently manage a broad range of purchasing activities while effectively partnering with internal stakeholders and suppliers.\n\nResponsibilities\nSource, evaluate, negotiate, and procure materials, equipment, and services in alignment with project requirements, company procedures, and commercial objectives.\nIdentify, qualify, and develop supplier relationships to ensure reliable, cost-effective, and high-quality sources of supply.\nManage the end-to-end procurement process, including RFQs, bid evaluations, purchase order issuance, supplier communication, and expediting activities.\nCollaborate with engineering, project management, construction, and other internal stakeholders to align procurement activities with project schedules and business priorities.\nMonitor supplier performance, proactively identify risks, resolve procurement issues, and recommend effective solutions to maintain project execution timelines.\nAnalyze pricing, market conditions, and procurement trends to support purchasing decisions and deliver value-driven outcomes.\nEnsure procurement activities comply with company policies, ethical standards, contractual obligations, and applicable industry requirements.\nWork independently on a diverse portfolio of procurement activities, exercising sound judgment and commercial acumen in a fast-paced environment.\nProvide guidance and knowledge sharing to junior team members and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement function.\n\nWhat You Will Bring\nDemonstrated experience managing procurement activities for engineered and non-engineered materials, equipment, and services within project-based environments.\nStrong understanding of procurement best practices, supplier management, contract administration, and commercial negotiations.\nAbility to build effective relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers while influencing outcomes and driving collaboration.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.\nEffective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare and deliver reports, recommendations, and procurement documentation.\nProficiency with procurement systems, ERP platforms, and related supply chain tools.\nExperience supporting capital projects in the energy, industrial, infrastructure, chemicals, or related sectors is considered an asset.\n\nRequired Qualifications, Accreditation, Training\nUniversity degree, diploma, or equivalent combination of education and relevant procurement experience.\nMinimum 5+ years of progressive procurement, sourcing, or purchasing experience in a project-driven environment.\nProfessional Supply Chain designation (SCMP) or progress toward designation is considered an asset.\nDemonstrated knowledge of procurement principles, supplier management, and commercial contracting practices.\nMoving forward together\nWe want our people to be energized and empowered to drive sustainable impact.
