This position is ideal for an engineer with 3-8 years of experience who is looking to expand their technical expertise while developing consulting, client engagement, and project delivery skills. The role combines consulting and project development work with hands-on control system engineering and support.\nWorking alongside experienced consultants and engineers, you will support studies, assessments, engineering evaluations, digital transformation initiatives, automation projects, operational improvement programs, and project development activities across the energy, chemicals, mining, industrial, nuclear, infrastructure, and manufacturing sectors.\nResponsibilities:\nConsulting and Project Development\nSupport consulting assignments related to controls, automation, process control, and industrial digitalization.\nAssist with technical studies, assessments, analyses, and recommendations for client projects.\nSupport project development activities through concept selection, FEL, FEED, and detailed engineering phases.\nAssist with preparation of project proposals, estimates, scopes of work, schedules, and technical documentation.\nParticipate in client meetings, workshops, and project reviews, coordinating effectively with clients, vendors, and multidisciplinary project teams.\nSupport evaluation and selection of control systems, automation technologies, and digital solutions.\nIdentify technical issues, develop practical solutions, and seek guidance when appropriate.\nMaintain awareness of industry trends, emerging technologies, and applicable engineering standards.\nControl Systems Engineering\nPrepare and maintain I&C engineering documentation, including:\nDesign documents: Control Narratives, Functional Design Specifications (FDS), Cause-and-Effect Matrices, and Alarm Philosophy and Rationalization Documentation.\nData and drawings: Instrument Indexes, I/O Lists, PLC and DCS Logic Diagrams, and Loop Drawings.\nTesting and commissioning: Test Procedures and Commissioning and Startup Packages.\nSupport and maintain plant control systems, DCS platforms, Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS), HMI/SCADA applications, and associated industrial networks.\nExecute control strategy modifications, logic changes, graphics development, and system troubleshooting.\nWork directly with customer operations and engineering personnel to identify and resolve process control issues.\nReview and interpret existing control programs and documentation.\nParticipate in control system upgrades, migrations, and lifecycle management activities.\nWhat you will bring\nTechnical/Industry Experience and Qualifications Requirements:\nRequired\nProven experience with Rockwell ControlLogix PLC configuration.\nProven experience with Ignition HMI/SCADA graphics configuration.\nIntermediate level (3-8 years) of relevant experience in instrumentation and controls engineering, automation, process control, and project delivery.\nGood understanding of control system design principles and engineering deliverables.\nExperience working on multidisciplinary projects in one or more of the sectors listed above, or related sectors.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, communication, technical writing, and presentation skills.\nAbility to work independently, with guidance from a lead engineer when required, while collaborating effectively with client-facing and geographically distributed multidisciplinary teams.\nPreferred\nExperience working within an Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) or EPCM environment, as well as system integration experience.\nFamiliarity with FEL, FEED, detailed engineering, commissioning, and startup activities.\nExperience participating in HAZOPs, LOPAs, control system assessments, or risk reviews.\nKnowledge of ISA, IEC, NFPA, API, CSA, or other applicable industry standards.\nFamiliarity with fiber optic network architecture.\nPreferred (experience with one or more of the following)\nHMI graphics: Rockwell FactoryTalk View SE.\nPLC platforms: Siemens PCS7 / S7.\nDistributed Control Systems (DCS): Honeywell Experion PKS, Honeywell TDC 3000 / HPM, ABB 800xA.\nSafety systems: Triconex Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS).\nEducation - Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:\nRequired:\nBachelor's degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Physics, or a related engineering discipline.\nProfessional Engineer (P.E.) registration, or ability to obtain registration in the applicable jurisdiction.\nMoving forward together\nWe want our people to be energized and empowered to drive sustainable impact.
