Working within established processes and procedures, you will help identify practical ways to improve workflow, manage costs, and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.\nThe role will provide continued training and development as you build your knowledge of logistics systems, processes, and tools and become increasingly confident in managing assigned activities.\nCore Responsibilities\nCoordinate logistics activities for the movement, distribution, and delivery of materials and equipment.\nSupport the planning and execution of shipments to help ensure safe, timely, and cost-effective delivery.\nReview logistics requirements and tracking information to support effective distribution and delivery decisions.\nMaintain accurate logistics records and monitor shipment progress, identifying issues that may affect schedules or service requirements.\nSupport the development, review, and implementation of procedures for distribution and inventory management.\nAnalyse logistics information and tracking records to identify opportunities to improve workflow, delivery performance, and inventory control.\nWork collaboratively with internal teams, suppliers, service providers, and other stakeholders to resolve routine logistics issues.\nCommunicate logistics status, requirements, and potential issues clearly and in a timely manner.\nFollow applicable company processes, procedures, and requirements relating to logistics, safety, quality, and compliance.\nRecommend practical alternatives or solutions when established approaches do not adequately address an assigned logistics requirement.\nSupport the work of junior team members when required, including assigning and reviewing activities within the scope of the role.\nMaintain a strong focus on accuracy, service, cost awareness, and continuous improvement in day-to-day logistics activities.\nWhat you’ll bring to the role\nYou’ll bring a practical, organized, and collaborative approach to logistics, along with the ability to manage multiple activities while maintaining attention to detail.\nQualifications and experience\nA university degree or equivalent qualification in logistics, supply chain management, business, operations, or a related discipline is preferred.\nAlternatively, equivalent relevant experience in logistics, materials management, transportation, distribution, or a related field will be considered.\nTypically, 3+ years of relevant experience in logistics or a related operational environment.\nExperience working with logistics, distribution, inventory, transportation, or materials management processes.\nIntermediate understanding of systems, processes, and tools relevant to logistics and supply chain activities.\nExperience working within defined procedures and processes, with the ability to apply sound judgment when dealing with routine and moderately complex situations.\nSkills and capabilities\nStrong organizational and coordination skills, with the ability to prioritize competing requirements and meet deadlines.\nGood analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to review information, identify issues, and recommend practical solutions.\nStrong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate records and tracking information.\nClear and confident communication skills, with the ability to explain logistics requirements and information to different stakeholders.\nThe ability to develop positive working relationships and collaborate effectively across teams.\nA customer-focused mindset and an understanding of the importance of safe, reliable, and timely service delivery.\nThe ability to work with increasing independence while recognizing when technical guidance or escalation is required.\nThe confidence to suggest improvements and alternative approaches when they can improve efficiency, service, or cost outcomes.\nA commitment to safety, quality, compliance, and ethical business practices.\nAdaptability and a willingness to learn new systems, processes, and ways of working.\nYou will work under general supervision and technical guidance, with regular interaction with your supervisor or manager.
