Our employees build exciting careers in fabrication, modularization, field installation, and professional support services for some of the world’s most challenging energy, infrastructure, and industrial projects.\nWorley Canada Construction is currently seeking a Material Controller to support field execution at a project site near Regina, SK.\nThe Material Controller is responsible for the execution and control of field-level materials management activities to ensure materials are received, tracked, stored, and issued in alignment with construction priorities. This role is accountable for maintaining accurate system records, ensuring traceability of materials, and proactively resolving material-related issues that may impact construction productivity. The Materials Controller supports receiving readiness, system integrity, and issue resolution, while working closely with Construction, Procurement, and Material Handling teams to ensure efficient and controlled execution.\nWork Conditions\nSite-based role on a project site near Regina, Saskatchewan\n\nCandidate may be required to work site rotation (9/5 schedule)\n\nLocal candidates preferred\n\nDaily bussing from Regina to site is provided\n\nKey Accountability Areas\nMaterial Handling & Logistics\nCoordinate material deliveries to and from site in collaboration with Procurement\n\nPrepare accurate Bills of Lading and shipping documentation, when required for outbound shipments\n\nProvide support to Material Handlers to ensure receiving, identification, and documentation processes are executed in accordance with project requirements\n\nSupport safe, organized, and efficient material laydown and movement across site\n\nMaterial Receiving Readiness & System Control\nEnsure readiness for material receipt, including verification of expected deliveries, documentation requirements, and system preparedness (e.g., material master data, heat number structures, required attributes)\n\nMaintain accurate, real-time material records within the material management system (SiteSense) by verifying that all transactions (receipts, issues, transfers) are completed correctly and in a timely manner\n\nValidate that system records reflect physical material status, and coordinate resolution of discrepancies between system and field conditions\n\nEnsure all material data, including heat numbers, serial numbers, and supporting documentation (e.g., MTRs, CRNs), is complete, accurate, and traceable\n\nProvide guidance and oversight on transaction processes, without routinely performing transactional receiving activities\n\nIssue Resolution & Coordination\nOwn the coordination and escalation of material discrepancies (OS&D/UOSD), following initial identification and recording by Material Handlers\n\nInterface with Procurement, suppliers, and clients to drive timely resolution of material issues\n\nCoordinate shipment schedules and site delivery timelines, including client-supplied (free issue) materials\n\nInterface with Home Office and project teams to ensure timely completion of procurement and materials management activities\n\nSupport invoice validation and resolution where material discrepancies exist\n\nConstruction Readiness & Execution\nAlign material availability, staging, and issuing with construction priorities and sequencing, as communicated by site supervision\n\nWork closely with Construction, Planning, and Materials teams to understand workface requirements and material demand\n\nProactively identify and escalate material constraints, shortages, or discrepancies that may impact construction execution\n\nMaintain continuous communication with construction teams to respond to changes in priority or sequencing\n\nQuality, Traceability & Compliance\nEnsure all materials are received, stored, and issued in a manner that preserves identification, condition, and traceability\n\nMaintain complete, accurate, and audit-ready material records in accordance with project and client requirements\n\nSupport quality and inspection processes by ensuring material documentation is available and properly linked to material records\n\nExperience\nCompletion of post-secondary education or a recognized trades certification\n\nMinimum of 5 years’ experience in industrial construction, preferably in a field-based materials role\n\nPractical knowledge of industrial materials (pipe, valves, fittings, instrumentation, equipment, and electrical components) and applicable codes and standards\n\nAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings, including piping isometrics is an asset\n\nExperience supporting fabrication, modularization, and/or field assembly activities (asset)\n\nProven experience using digital materials management systems (e.g., AVEVA ERM, SAP, JD Edwards, SiteSense), with strong focus on data accuracy and transaction control\n\nProficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Power Apps or reporting tools is an asset\n\nSuccess looks like:\nAccurate and timely material records with minimal transaction backlog\n\nFull traceability and audit-ready documentation\n\nClear alignment between system data and physical material status\n\nProactive identification and resolution of material risks\n\nEffective coordination across construction, procurement, and materials teams\n\nMoving forward together\nWe want our people to be energized and empowered to drive sustainable impact.
