Leveraging extensive experience and AI-enabled delivery, we support customers in navigating complexity as they meet today's needs and transition to more sustainable solutions.\nWorley Canada Construction is seeking experienced journeypersons or trades professionals to join our Materials Management team in a Journeyperson Material Technician capacity.\nThis role is ideal for individuals looking to transition from tools into a coordination-focused field role, while remaining closely connected to construction execution.\nJourneyperson Material Handlers play a key role in supporting material readiness, workface delivery, and mentoring junior team members, ensuring materials are available, properly handled, and aligned with construction priorities.\nWork Conditions\nSite-based role on active industrial construction projects\nSchedule and rotation dependent on project\nOutdoor work in active construction environments\nKey Responsibilities\nExecute and coordinate complex material handling activities on site\n\nSupport material prioritization aligned with construction sequencing\n\nMentor and guide junior Material Handlers in field execution and best practices\n\nIdentify and escalate material issues (shorts, damage, misalignment with scope)\n\nSupport efficient movement of materials to the workface\n\nInterface with construction supervision and materials leadership\n\nQualifications & Experience\nRequired:\nJourneyperson certification or equivalent trades experience (e.g., pipe, structural, E&I, mechanical)\n\nOR demonstrated experience in industrial construction with strong materials exposure\n\nStrong understanding of construction workflows and material usage\n\nAbility to work in a field-based, execution-focused environment\n\nPreferred:\nPrior experience in material handling, receiving, or laydown operations\n\nExperience supporting workface delivery or construction crews\n\nFamiliarity with material tracking systems (SiteSense, Jovix, etc.)\n\nEquipment operation experience (forklift, telehandler)\nRole Focus\nThe successful candidate will:\nApply construction experience to improve material flow and availability\n\nProvide guidance and mentorship to less experienced team members\n\nContribute to safe, efficient, and organized site execution\n\nCareer Progression\nThis role provides a pathway into:\nMaterials Foreperson (crew leadership)\n\nProject Materials Lead or Material Controller roles\n\nWhy Join Worley Canada Construction\nOpportunity to step into a coordination-focused role while remaining active in construction\n\nApply your trade experience beyond installation into project execution\n\nContribute to building high-performing, structured materials teams\n\nMoving forward together\nWe want our people to be energized and empowered to drive sustainable impact.
