Leveraging extensive experience and AI-enabled delivery, we support customers in navigating complexity as they meet today's needs and transition to more sustainable solutions.\nPurpose\nYou will provide piping design services to Worley and its customers, including technical support and coordination within the piping design team.\nResponsibilities\nDeliver piping design services that meet Worley, its customers', and applicable statutory and regulatory specifications, on time and within budget.\nDevelop and prepare piping design deliverables in support of project requirements.\nPerform piping design services such as:Participate in relevant meetings, prepare progress reports, and follow required checking and quality control procedures.\nEnsure the project scope is clear and that design changes comply with project change management processes.\nProvide support during procurement, construction, and commissioning activities through preparation of design deliverables and resolution of design-related issues.\nDevelop and maintain 3D models, equipment layouts, piping arrangements, isometrics, and construction drawings.\n\nAct as the Lead Piping Designer on specific projects.\n\nOutline project requirements, assign tasks, supervise progress, and actively promote workshare where appropriate.\n\nEnsure the required services meet Worley, customer, and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements, on time and within budget.\nProactively resolve discrepancies between Worley and customer requirements.\nKeep up to date with the latest developments, software applications, and technical innovations in piping design.\nAssist and support junior designers and drafting personnel as required.\nCommunicate effectively with project stakeholders, including customers, engineering disciplines, project management, procurement, and construction teams.\nIdentify issues and problems, develop practical solutions, and seek assistance when required.\nWhat You Will Bring\nTechnical/Industry Experience and Qualifications Requirements\nStrong technical and practical piping design skills with the ability to consistently deliver quality, accurate, and timely work to Worley and its customers.\nSound knowledge of the fundamental principles of piping design and drafting practices.\nUnderstanding of the basic requirements of other engineering disciplines and their interfaces with piping design.\nKnowledge of applicable local and international codes, standards, statutory, and regulatory requirements.\nProficient in piping design software such as:SmartPlant 3D (SP3D)\n\nE3D/PDMS\nCADWorx\n\nOther industry-standard piping design software\n\nCompetent use of Microsoft Office Suite.\nSubstantial practical experience in piping design within the petrochemical, refining, oil and gas, or related industries.\nExperience working in multi-disciplinary project environments and leading multi-office teams.\n\nEPC experience.\n\nPreferred Experience\n10 years plus of piping design experience.\nAt least 10 years supporting petrochemical and refining projects through design, execution, and construction phases.\nMajor project experience.\n\nOn-site and/or refinery experience.\n\nRefinery experience.\n\nOil and Gas industry experience.\nEducation - Qualifications, Accreditation, Training\nRequired\nAssociate degree, technical diploma, certificate in Drafting/Design Technology, Engineering Technology, or equivalent combination of education and relevant industry experience.\nPreferred\nAdditional certifications or training in piping design, CAD software, 3D modeling, or related technical disciplines.\nRelevant coursework in engineering technology, design, project management, or supervisory development.\nExperience producing piping layouts, isometrics, plot plans, equipment arrangements, support details, and construction work packages.\n\nProficiency with E3D/PDMS, SmartPlant 3D (SP3D), CADWorx.\n\nFamiliarity with field verification, as-built documentation, and coordination with construction teams.\n\nStrong understanding of industry standards, design practices, and multi-discipline project execution.\nMoving forward together\nWe want our people to be energized and empowered to drive sustainable impact.
