Leveraging extensive experience and AI-enabled delivery, we support customers in navigating complexity as they meet today's needs and transition to more sustainable solutions.\nPiping Designer Level I\nWorley Group\nLong Beach, California\nPurpose:\nYou will provide piping engineering services to Worley and its customers, including technical support and supervision within the piping engineering team.\nResponsibilities:\nDeliver piping engineering services that meet Worley', its customers' and applicable statutory and regulatory specifications, on time and within budget.\nInitiate, manage and if required supervise piping engineering project requirements.\nPerform piping engineering services such as:participate in relevant meetings, prepare progress reports and follow required checking procedures;\nensure the project scope is clear and that changes comply with project change management processes;\nprovide assistance and advice during procurement, construction and commissioning activities. For example, write requisitions, conduct technical bid evaluations and write purchase orders. \n\nIf required, act as the piping engineering Lead on specific projects.\nIf responsible for a team:outline project requirements including actively promoting workshare, where appropriate, assign tasks and supervise progress; and\nensure the required services meet Worley, its customers and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements, on time and within budget. \n\nProactively resolve any discrepancies between Worley and its Customer's requirements.\nKeep up to date with the latest developments and technical innovations in piping engineering.\nIf required, assist and support junior personnel within the piping engineering team.\nCommunicate effectively with the piping engineering team and project stakeholders, including the Customer.\nIdentify issues and problems, develop appropriate solutions, and ask for assistance when required.\nWhat you will bring\nTechnical/Industry Experience and Qualifications Requirements:\nHighly effective technical and practical engineering skills and ability to consistently deliver quality, accurate and timely work to Worley and its customers.\nA sound knowledge of the fundamental requirements of piping engineering, and the basic requirements of other engineering fields.\nA sound knowledge of applicable local and international standards and statutory and regulatory requirements.\nCompetent use of piping engineering specific software.\nCompetent use of relevant software such as MS Office Suite.\nSubstantial technical land practical experience in piping engineering in the same or similar industry including experience in working in multi-disciplinary projects and teams.\n1 to 3 years’ experience in piping design.\nAt least 1 to 3 years in petrochemical and refining with project design, execution, construction. \nOn-site and/or in-refinery experience.\nRefinery experience.\nOil and Gas experience.\nAdditional information:\nThis role is in California.\nHourly Range $31.07-$45.69\nBenefits: eligible for PTO, 401k, medical, vision, dental, etc.\nLos Angeles\nWe will consider for employment all qualified Applicants, including those with Criminal Histories, in a manner consistent with the requirements of applicable state and local laws, including the City of Los Angeles' Fair Chance Initiative for Hiring Ordinance.” #LI-AC1\nEducation - Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:\nRequired:\nAssociatedegree,technicaldiploma,certificateinDrafting/DesignTechnology,EngineeringTechnology,orequivalentcombinationofeducationandrelevantindustryexperience.\nPreferred:\nRelevant postgraduate qualifications in engineering, management, project management or supervisory qualifications or equivalent.\nMoving forward together\nWe want our people to be energized and empowered to drive sustainable impact.
