Senior Designer shall have good skills in management of a pool of Designers / drafts persons and also task planning to meet schedules. Hence must have good interpersonal and communication skills. Senior Designer shall have abilities to effectively check the drawings prepared by Designers in the same discipline. 3D CAD skills and with experience in E3D.\nPrincipal Accountabilities :\nUnderstand the requirements of the design quality system and meticulously ensure that these\nrequirements are met and Undertake work in accordance with relevant Codes, Standards and\nProcedures.\nParticipate in site visits to gather existing data\nProduce presentable and accurate drawings, including a consistency check. Modification of\nexisting drawings.\nBe aware of, and check, the interface between his own discipline and other disciplines at all\nstages of the design.\nGood knowledge on Company Standards, Shell Group DEP’s and International Standards. \nFull understanding of “non-standard” Vendor documentation and its interface points with\nCompany engineering documents.\nProduce drafting 2D drawings from E3D\nCarry out Lighting Design Calculation in Dialux\nPreparation of MTO\nDecisions are to be made based on acceptable quality for the custodian.\nActively train and encourage the development of Omani personnel to fulfil draftsperson and\ndesigner roles in the engineering team.\nImplement Company, and where applicable, Client/Project policies and procedures.\nChecking and preparation of design/engineering documentation.\nUndertake surveys necessary to develop area of work assigned.\nLiaise with other disciplines, departments, project personnel, vendors, etc.\nEnsure all design drawings and documents are complete within the allocated hours and in\naccordance with the programme.\nPreparation of detailed drawings and documents to the requirements of Engineer.\nEnsure all discipline design interfaces are clearly defined.\nQualification : Minimum HND /ITI /Diploma in Engineering.\nExperience:\nPrincipal Designer shall have a minimum of 18 years related experience plus proven capability\nin an engineering design firm.
