Leveraging extensive experience and AI-enabled delivery, we support customers in navigating complexity as they meet today's needs and transition to more sustainable solutions.\nPrimary Objectives / Responsibilities\nEnsure company and statutory requirements, along with applicable engineering standards, are identified and addressed in piping design across all Purchase Orders and Programmes.\nMaintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant industry standards and ensure project designs comply with current requirements.\nEnsure the technical integrity of piping deliverables through checking, verification, and design review activities.\nProactively understand the safety hazards and risks associated with the asset lifecycle of the designed product, plant, or system.\nEnsure actions arising from Project Reviews and Value Improvement Practices (VIPs) are addressed in a timely manner.\nDesign and develop innovative technical approaches to piping engineering challenges and contribute to continuous business improvement initiatives.\nCommunicate key design decisions with potential safety impacts to project teams and ensure they are appropriately documented.\nDrive continuous improvement in the effectiveness and efficiency of project delivery through elimination, simplification, standardization, and automation while maintaining high-quality engineering outcomes.\nSpecific Accountabilities\n·Plan the execution of piping discipline activities to maintain project schedules.\n·Manage quality and consistency within the discipline.\n·Provide technical direction, control, and supervision for engineering and design activities.\n·Resolve discipline-related technical issues.\n·Prepare discipline man-hour estimates for proposals and develop deliverables lists.\n·Deliver discipline design deliverables within approved man-hour budgets.\n·Manage discipline resources in collaboration with the Project Engineering Manager.\n·Identify software requirements and select appropriate design tools.\n·Identify training and development needs of discipline personnel.\n·Perform or delegate checking of deliverables.\n·Report progress on deliverables and tasks and provide updates for project reporting.\n·Identify and report potential project variances.\n·Maintain and update lessons learned registers.\n·Undertake or delegate site visits as required.\n·Manage interfaces within the discipline, across other disciplines, and with third-party contractors.\n·Interface with procurement and construction teams.\n·Coordinate change control and technical query processes within the discipline.\nEssential Skills and Experience\nMinimum 15 years of experience in Brownfield Oil & Gas Piping Design and Engineering.\nExperience performing as a professional Piping Engineer for projects and plant modifications from Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) through execution, commissioning, and start-up.\nDemonstrated experience in piping design, material selection, pipe routing, stress analysis, and engineering support for oil and gas facilities.\nMinimum 5-10 years of experience leading piping engineering activities within multidisciplinary project delivery teams.\nExperience in the Middle East is an advantage.\nExperience in front-end engineering, project execution, commissioning, and start-up activities.\nExperience with project management.\n·Experience managing EPCM projects.\nRequired Competencies\nBachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.\nProfessional Engineering status or equivalent professional registration.\nProven leadership skills and a strong personal drive to meet deadlines and targets.\nDemonstrated ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.\nAbility to work and manage in a multicultural environment.\nStrong commitment to HSSE leadership and experience managing HSSE throughout all project phases.\nExperience in the design, selection, specification, and implementation of piping systems.\nMoving forward together\nWe want our people to be energized and empowered to drive sustainable impact.
