Join us and help drive innovation and sustainability in our projects.\nPurpose:\nYou will support Substation and Transmission projects with focus on electrical protection and control activities for Worley and its Customers as an integral part of the Power Networks team. This includes new substations and switchyards, modifications, additions and upgrades to existing facilities.\nResponsibilities:\nIndependently perform tasks that typically include:\nTechnical execution of complex protection and control project assignments applied to both brownfield and greenfield for Power Networks projects for various clients.\nPreparation of engineering drawings and documents, calculations, and other miscellaneous deliverables as required.\nCollaborate with project managers, drafters, civil/structural engineers, and field personnel.\nMentor and guide junior engineers.\nComplete tasks in accordance with project procedures, applicable codes and/or standards, on schedule and within budget.\nDiscuss technical problems and communicate effectively with other project personnel and outside customers.\nPerform independent audits and reviews of technical work.\nPerform proposal preparation, proposal estimates, and provide input to scope documents and client presentations.\nPerform the function of a team leader that can solvecomplex issues and act as a lead engineer responsible for the quality of the deliverables.\nWork in a team-oriented environment with ability to work independently or as part of a group when and as required.\nInterface with outside customers.\nAbility to travel to job sites to perform site walkdown.\nResponsible for the quality assurance of the documents to the applicable drawing standards and responsible for the proper document management procedures are followed.\nWhat you will bring\nTechnical and Industry Experience:\nExtensive experience in protection and control engineering for 69kV and above switchyards and substations.\nExperience in estimating project costs and writing proposal content.\nDesign and implement advanced protection and control schemes for power systems.\nHas a competent understanding of regulations, electrical codes, manufacturing standards and industry standard practices.\nCompetent use of relevant software such as MS Office Suite.\nSelf-motivated, organized, and be able to work independently.\nIdeal candidate should have strong interpersonal and written communication skills that permit working efficiently alongside senior substation engineers and designers in a team setting.\nEducation - Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:\nBachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and 8 or more years of protection and controls experience.\nProfessional Engineer (PE) in the United States is preferred.\nMoving forward together\nWe’re committed to building a diverse, inclusive and respectful workplace where everyone feels they belong, can bring themselves, and are heard.
