Leveraging extensive experience and AI-enabled delivery, we support customers in navigating complexity as they meet today's needs and transition to more sustainable solutions.\nPrimary Objectives / Responsibilities\nProvide strong Safety leadership and promote a culture of safety, integrity, and operational excellence.\nLead Technical Safety engineering activities and ensure compliance with applicable engineering standards, regulations, and project requirements.\nEnsure the technical integrity and quality of Technical HSSE deliverables through effective review, verification, and quality assurance processes.\nIdentify, assess, and mitigate safety hazards and operational risks throughout the asset lifecycle.\nDrive continuous improvement initiatives and implement innovative solutions to improve project delivery and engineering effectiveness.\nProvide technical leadership and guidance to multidisciplinary project teams throughout all project phases.\nEnsure key safety-related design decisions are effectively communicated, documented, and incorporated into project execution.\nSpecific Accountabilities\nPlan, coordinate, and manage Technical Safety engineering activities to achieve project schedules and deliverables.\nProvide technical direction, supervision, and quality oversight for Technical Safety engineering and design activities.\nLead the execution of Technical HSE studies and assessments throughout project development and execution.\nIdentify, evaluate, and resolve technical safety, risk, and loss prevention issues.\nPrepare discipline man-hour estimates, resource plans, and deliverables lists for project execution and proposal activities.\nManage discipline resources and coordinate workload distribution to achieve project objectives.\nReview and approve Technical HSE deliverables, reports, specifications, and engineering documentation.\nMonitor project progress, identify variances, and implement corrective actions where necessary.\nManage interfaces within the discipline and coordinate activities with engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and third-party contractors.\nSupport procurement and construction teams by providing Technical HSE engineering guidance and technical evaluations.\nFacilitate hazard studies, risk assessments, and safety reviews throughout the project lifecycle.\nCoordinate change management and technical query processes within the discipline.\nMaintain lessons learned databases and support continuous improvement initiatives.\nUndertake site visits and provide technical support during construction, commissioning, and start-up activities as required.\nEssential Skills and Experience\nBachelor’s Degree in Process Engineering, Safety Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent.\nProfessional Engineering registration or equivalent professional accreditation is preferred.\nMinimum 15 years of experience in Brownfield Oil & Gas Technical Safety Engineering.\nExtensive experience supporting projects from FEED through detailed design, project execution, commissioning, and start-up.\nProven experience leading Technical Safety engineering activities within multidisciplinary project delivery environments.\nExtensive knowledge of Process Safety and Technical Safety Engineering principles.\nExperience facilitating and leading HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, and other safety studies.\nStrong knowledge of Fire and Gas Detection Systems, Loss Prevention, and Emergency Response design requirements.\nExperience conducting Quantitative Risk Assessments (QRA), consequence modelling, and risk management studies.\nExperience developing and implementing Technical Safety engineering studies, reports, and deliverables.\nStrong understanding of engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and project execution activities.\nProven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage stakeholders in complex project environments.\nExperience managing resources within multicultural and diverse work environments.\nDemonstrated commitment to Safety leadership and management throughout all project phases.\nStrong communication, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.\nExperience in Middle East Oil & Gas projects is preferred.\nExperience with project management.\nExperience managing EPCM projects.\nMoving forward together\nWe want our people to be energized and empowered to drive sustainable impact.
