Leveraging extensive experience and AI-enabled delivery, we support customers in navigating complexity as they meet today's needs and transition to more sustainable solutions.\nBusiness Development Support:\nBuilds positive working relationships with external parties such as the customer, suppliers, and contractors. \nSupports proposals by developing the discipline execution strategy, estimating costs, writing proposal content, and presenting to customers. \nWill be called upon to lead all or part of the technical proposal.\nFunctions as a departmental representative at various meetings; may serve on behalf of superior as assigned.\nBusiness Operations:\nPlanning of manhour budgets, schedules, manpower loadings, and staffing requirements, by skill and experience, to satisfy project requirements and direction given by the Discipline Manager. \nEnsures the project work is covered for vacation and unplanned absences.\nMentors/trains and supports the delivery of training. \nAssists in the employee performance review process. \nFacilitates coverage of activities when people leave the team. \nEncourages knowledge of and compliance with requirements and processes. \nWorks to resolve inter-discipline, vendor, and customer issues. \nEnsures discipline technical work and team activities meet all health, safety, environmental, and security requirements\nTechnical Competency:\nEnsures team member adherence to accepted engineering and design practices, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications. \nSupports the standardization of equipment specifications, drawings, and document templates. \nContributes to the understanding of technical knowledge, legal requirements, and customer specifications whenever viable and lawful. \nUses local/global standards to support technical excellence. \nIdentifies software necessary to enable the Structural group to function effectively.\nProvide specialist technical support, supervision, and advice to the discipline and project teams; participate in peer reviews.\nEnsures the Completion of structural analysis and design for Offshore oil and gas facilities.\nEnsures recognized offshore engineering practices applicable to Structural design engineering are adopted within the discipline.\nReview designs, drawings/sketches, and reports with supporting calculations for projects, and supply drafting staff with information to assist in producing detailed drawings, the development of quantities, materials lists, and cost estimates as required.\nProject Execution:\nParticipate in project execution strategy and planning. \nKnows the project and discipline scope/cost/time requirements, ensures the team meets the expectations, and liaises with other disciplines to ensure project success. \nEncourages innovative solutions, technology advances, and methods to effectively deal with working out of sequence. \nMonitor management of project change and overall progress for the discipline; work with the Project Management Team to take corrective actions regarding any issues, staffing requirements, scope changes, progress, or other events that could affect project completion and/or profitability. \nPlans discipline quality, monitors quality activities, drives squad checking, recommends improvements and takes action where required.\nCollaborates with the project team in reviewing project documentation such as proposals, estimates, budgets, and schedules\nConduct weekly Structural meetings, review progress reports, and required checking procedures.\nInitiate, manage, and supervise engineering assignments on projects that meet project requirements on time and within budget.\nOrganise and manage all aspects of the workload of a team of Structural discipline engineers and designers, within the parameters of a project schedule.\nUnderstands and applies the Project Execution Plan (PEP) requirements - make-up and application (including the Engineering Plan).\nProject Deliverables:\nReviews data from multiple sources and prepares engineering studies, analyses, calculations, and recommend actions. \nCrafts recommendations and reviews final documentation prior to customer approval. \nDetermines technical issues, defines alternate solutions, establishes pros/cons for multiple solutions, and makes recommendations through official project documents such as technical queries, technical deviations, etc. \nEstablish a list of discipline deliverables. Controls, monitors and progresses these deliverables to an agreed schedule.\nReviews final documentation incorporating all relevant information and pursues customer approval. \nReview similar documentation to assist others and reviews/authorizes work done by direct reports\nLead the production of detailed designs and drawings, specifications, data, calculations and reports\nFocuses team on achievement of milestones and other key project objectives.\nProcurement Support:\nParticipates in bid clarifications, conducts bid evaluations, completes inter-discipline vendor information review and approval, and finalizes other certification activities. \nProvide advice during procurement, construction and commissioning activities.\nLiaise with suppliers, clients, consultants or commissioning engineers concerning the design, installation or construction and commissioning of assigned work.\nCompetently reviews and comments vendor data.\nReviews Technical Bid Analysis and associated reports.\nSite Support:\nLeads on-site support for construction, commissioning, or turn over.\nMust be able to perform site visits & inspections, data gathering activities and technical evaluations that are relevant to assigned tasks and works.\nQuality Assurance:\nResponsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance systems.\nWork with project managers/project engineers to ensure all projects are set up and executed in full compliance with all the requirements of the Worley Project Management Process (WPMP) and General Management System (EMS) using consistent approaches, Work Breakdown Structures, work methodologies and reporting systems\nMonitors the closure of all identified risks and opportunities.\nSafety:\nResponsible for personal safety safe working practices.
