Transportation between Anchorage and the North Slope is provided.\nWorley offers a competitive benefits package, with company paid short-term disability, life insurance, paid sick leave, and 4.5% employer match on 401k.\n\nJob Purpose:\nThe Rig Material Controller is responsible for the planning, coordination, tracking of materials, equipment, and inventory required to support the drilling and wells operations on Alaska's North Slope. This position serves as a critical link between drilling operations, supply chain, logistics providers, warehouses, vendors, and field personnel to ensure materials are available when needed for operational efficiency. The Rig Material Controller plays an essential role in minimizing drilling downtime, controlling inventory costs, and ensuring safe and compliant material movements.\nEssential Job Functions:\n24 hour support for all rig’s field requests (FR) materials or equipment needs.\n\nCollaborates with multiple cross-functional teams to support the procurement, transportation, storage, and delivery of drilling-related materials and equipment.\n\nMonitor inventory levels of drilling consumables, tubulars, casing, drilling fluids, wellhead equipment, and other critical drilling materials.\n\nCoordinates with vendors to have the drilling and completion equipment prepared and ready for the rigs usage.\n\nEnsure critical materials are available to support ongoing drilling operations and upcoming well programs.\n\nTrack material status from purchase order issuance through delivery and field utilization.\n\nCoordinate with drilling supervisors, drilling engineers, logistics personnel, warehouse staff, and vendors regarding material requirements and delivery schedules.\n\nCoordinates and communicates with the logistics and aviation team the needs of the rigs at WNS and Willow to move inventory and tools across the river.\n\nMonitor material consumption rates and identify opportunities to improve inventory management and reduce waste.\n\nSupport mobilization and demobilization activities for drilling rigs and associated equipment.\n\nEnsure all material handling activities comply with company safety policies and environmental requirements.\n\nParticipate in daily operational meetings and communicate material availability, shortages, and delivery schedules.\n\nSupport emergency material requests and coordinate expedited deliveries when operationally required.\n\nThis role will require outdoor work in the winter.\n\nTrain and mentor the Drilling Coordinators and Drilling techs on the drilling equipment and tools.\n\nKnowledge, Skills, Ability:\nMust be a self-starter; able to work independently with minimal supervision.\n\nStrong organizational, planning, and prioritization skills.\n\nAbility to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced operational environment.\n\nStrong verbal and written communication skills.\n\nWorking knowledge of drilling operations, drilling equipment, and drilling consumables.\n\nUnderstanding of inventory management, warehouse operations, procurement processes, and supply chain principles.\n\nProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word.\n\nExperience using ERP systems, inventory management software, SAP, Maximo, Oracle, or similar platforms.\n\nAbility to analyze inventory usage trends and forecast material requirements.\n\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.\n\nAbility to work effectively with operations, logistics, engineering, and supply chain personnel.\n\nAbility to demonstrate adherence to established safety policies and procedures.\n\nAbility to demonstrate support for the company's environmental management system.\n\nSound knowledge of operations and safety policies and procedures.\n\nKnowledge of material packaging processes, techniques and materials\n\nHigh attention to detail, able to manage multiple priorities and work fronts simultaneously.\n\nPhysical Demands/Work Environment:\nWork is performed in a remote Arctic environment with limited medical resources. Candidate understands the site is approximately 840 miles (at least 4 hours by air ambulance) from surgical, specialist, and tertiary medical care, and where medical evacuation from this location may be significantly delayed due to weather conditions. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is required to:\nMust have ability to stand, walk on level, uneven and slippery surfaces, sit, squat, kneel, crawl, reach through low and high ranges, work overhead, and exhibit normal balance and coordination.
