Leveraging extensive experience and AI-enabled delivery, we support customers in navigating complexity as they meet today's needs and transition to more sustainable solutions.\nPrimary Objectives / Responsibilities\nTechnical Competency\nSupports adherence to generally accepted engineering and design practices, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications.\nSupports the standardization of equipment specifications, drawings, and document templates.\nContributes to the understanding of technical knowledge, legal requirements, and customer specifications whenever viable and lawful.\nUses local/global standards to support technical excellence.\nSupports checking, peer reviews, and incorporation of comments and findings.\nPrepare plans, layouts and designs with supporting calculations for specifications, and supply drafting and estimating staff with information to assist in the production of detailed drawings, the development of tools,quantities, materials lists and cost estimates as required.\nCheck plans, designs and materials for conformity with specifications.\nPerforms studies, design concepts, design criteria, reports, plant layout drawings, detail design and construction drawings.\nPrepares materials and writes construction specifications.\nMay conduct surveys, studies, and site investigations.\nPrepares and issues drawing packages.\nProvides technical guidance to Drafters and Designers working on the same project.\nEnsures compliance of design with applicable codes and regulations\nProject Execution\nKnows the discipline scope/cost/time requirements, assists the team to meet expectations, and coordinates with other disciplines to ensure project success.\nSupports management of project change and progressing for the discipline and works with the Project Management Team to take corrective actions regarding any issues, staffing requirements, scope changes, progressing, or other events that could affect project completion and/or profitability.\nPlans discipline quality, monitors quality activities, recommends improvements, and takes action where required.\nProvide technical support within the discipline team, liaise with the project team, and consult with relevant resources as required.\nMajor accountabilities of Position\nCoordinate review and approval of design and interfaces on client requirements and specifications.\nEnsure all work is checked and approved before issue.\nResponsible for maintaining work progress (budget, schedule) and raising change documentation where necessary.\nLiaise with research and development engineers regarding development work or construction and production engineers regarding manufacture of designed products or planned structures.\nLiaise with suppliers, clients, consultants or commissioning engineers concerning the design, installation or construction and commissioning of assigned work.\nAssist in the preparation of technical detail for sales inquiries, quotations, contract documentation, technical literature or in the analysis of failures following customer complaints.\nExtracts engineering and estimating information from drawings.\nStudy and implement Lessons-Learnt from previous projects.\nRespond to Contractor's Requests for Information (RFIs) and review Contractor's shop drawings\nProject Deliverables\nGathers data from multiple sources and prepares engineering studies, analyses, calculations, etc.\nDetermines technical issues, defines alternate solutions, establishes pros/cons for multiple solutions, and makes recommendations through official project documents such as technical queries, technical deviations, etc.\nCreates final documentation incorporating all relevant information and pursues customer approval.\nPerform discipline specific engineering services such as:\nIdentify and report changes to project scope;\nContribute to appropriate studies, analyses and recommend actions;\nAssist with the preparation of detailed designs and drawings, specifications, data, calculations and reports;\nProvide assistance during procurement, construction and commissioning activities\nGeneral Accountabilities:\nComply and keep up-to-date with the behaviour and business practices outlined in Worley Processes, and with all applicable laws, regulations and standards.\nDeliver quality services and demonstrate a commitment to understand and meet customer needs.\nDemonstrate a visible and active commitment to achieving the Worley Vision and its associated requirements.\nArrives punctually for work and meetings.\nDemonstrates commitment to the organisation.\nComplies with legal obligations and safety requirements of the role.\nAbility to work to tight deadlines and prioritisation of work to achieve them\nEducation - Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:\nFull-Time Bachelor’s Degree in Architectural Engineering from an accredited university\nMME (Ministry of Municipality and Environment) 'Grade A' Professional Registration is a mandatory requirement.\nCandidates not holding this accreditation must be willing to achieve this within the probationary period.\nChartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status or undertaking the same will be an advantage\nJob Specific Knowledge:\nDemonstrate a visible and active commitment to HSE management and its associated requirements in a project environment\nHas an intermediate understanding of regulations, codes and industry standard practices.\nKnowledge of local and international codes and standards that are applicable to Architectural design.\nExperience with all major building types -
