Our Ports & Marine team supports developments across resources, energy, transport, defence and emerging industries, helping clients deliver resilient infrastructure in some of the world's most challenging coastal environments.\nWe currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Coastal Engineer to join our Perth-based team. This role is suited to an experienced coastal engineer who enjoys solving complex engineering challenges, working within multidisciplinary teams and delivering innovative coastal infrastructure solutions from concept through to detailed design.\nAbout the Role\nAs a Senior Coastal Engineer, you will contribute to the planning, design and delivery of major coastal and maritime projects across Australia and internationally, including the delivery of Technical Advisory services on the Westport infrastructure program. You will work closely with coastal, marine, structural and geotechnical specialists to develop practical and technically robust solutions for complex coastal environments.\nKey Responsibilities\nDeliver coastal engineering projects across feasibility, concept development, front-end engineering and detailed design phases.\nUndertake the design and assessment of coastal protection and maritime infrastructure, including breakwaters, revetments, seawalls and associated coastal assets.\nApply coastal engineering principles to support the development of resilient and sustainable infrastructure solutions.\nContribute to major ports, marine and infrastructure projects, with a particular focus on coastal processes and shoreline protection works.\nSupport the development of engineering studies, technical assessments and design documentation.\nCoordinate effectively with multidisciplinary teams including coastal, structural, civil, marine and geotechnical specialists.\nAssist with project planning, technical delivery and quality assurance requirements.\nPrepare technical reports, specifications and client deliverables.\nBuild and maintain strong working relationships with clients, stakeholders and project partners.\nAbout You\nTo be successful in this role, you will bring:\nA degree qualification in Coastal Engineering, Civil Engineering, Ocean Engineering or a related discipline.\nApproximately 9-12 years of relevant industry experience in coastal engineering.\nDemonstrated experience delivering coastal infrastructure projects, particularly within ports and major infrastructure environments.\nExperience in the design and assessment of coastal structures such as breakwaters, revetments and shoreline protection systems.\nExperience working across concept, feasibility, FEED and detailed design project phases.\nStrong understanding of coastal engineering principles and their application to real-world infrastructure challenges.\nStrong communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.\nChartered status, or progress towards professional accreditation, will be highly regarded.\nWhy Worley?\nAt Worley, you'll work on significant Western Australian and international projects while collaborating with coastal, marine, geotechnical and structural specialists across our global network.
