Our team includes world class experts and dynamic go-getters. This is full-time office position based in Vancouver, British Columbia for our Mining, Minerals & Metals Canadian offices.\nResponsibilities:\nPreparation of 3D and 2D layouts for MMM execution projects and studies. \nDeveloping of general arrangement drawings for the process plants and site facilities.\nDeveloping of standard equipment drawings for supporting the layouts and the design.\nDeveloping of material handling drawings. \nPlanning and scheduling of design tasks associated with assigned project or area\nFully understanding the project scope of work and identifying potential changes utilizing the project change control process\nUnderstanding of construction work packaging requirements and organizing construction documentation to support construction and commissioning.\nAdvising the Discipline Lead and Project Manager about status of assignment(s) with respect to schedule, budgets, delays, and adverse problems.\nFull understanding of the use of requisitions and the role of materials management and support of technical requirements for purchase orders and subcontracts.\nMaintaining the 3D model environment.\nFacilitating and navigating 3D model reviews, both internal and client.\nCoordinating work between various disciplines and interdisciplinary checking.\nChecking work of, and assist in training of less experienced design personnel.\nWhat you will bring:\nTechnical and Industry Experience:\nNeeds to be fluent in all design tools such as Aveva PDMS/E3D. \nExperience in the mining and minerals environment or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. \nThis position involves the design and drafting of 3D CAD based equipment and utilizing laser scans. \nAs required, you might be asked to join site visits.\nOther requirements:\nMust have excellent interpersonal communication skills; maintain good interaction between clients and team members.\nAble to visit sites and have brownfields site experience. \nAble to work 40 hours per week, overtime as required up to 50 hours per week.\nAble to provide full lead coverage when lead is on vacation.\nMust demonstrate an excellent safety-oriented mindset.\nMust have a proven safety record.\nEducation - Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:\nRequired:\nTechnical school graduate with specific discipline training.\nMust have valid driving license.\nProficiency in PDMS/E3D, or the ability to quickly develop proficiency in the software.\nDemonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and Outlook.\nAble to work independently.\nFor applicants based in the province of British Columbia, the salary range is $102,682 to $120,802\nApplication of the pay band: Variation in salary is determined by factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, relevant years of experience, geographic location, internal pay equity, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.\nMoving forward together\nWe want our people to be energized and empowered to drive sustainable impact.
