In this role, you will contribute to the design and execution of mechanical systems across the full project lifecycle, from early concept development through detailed engineering, construction, and commissioning. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop practical, high-quality solutions that align with project objectives, client requirements, and industry standards. This position offers the opportunity to take on technical leadership responsibilities, support project delivery, and contribute to a collaborative and safety-focused engineering environment.\nPurpose\nDeliver mechanical engineering and design work in alignment with project quality, cost, and schedule objectives.\nSupport safe design practices and contribute to a culture of safety across all project activities.\nEnsure designs align with client specifications, applicable codes, and industry standards.\nServe as Project Discipline Lead on small to medium-sized projects, as assigned.\nProvide guidance and oversight to team members to support delivery of high-quality engineering outcomes.\nResponsibilities\nProvide project oversight as Project Discipline Lead, integrating design activities in accordance with scope, schedule, and budget requirements.\nLead or support a mechanical discipline team, including engineers and designers, to deliver project objectives.\nDeliver mechanical engineering services that meet company, client, and regulatory requirements.\nSupport the planning and execution of mechanical engineering work, including participating in project meetings, preparing progress updates, and following established review procedures.\nHelp ensure project scope is clearly defined and that changes are managed in accordance with project processes.\nContribute to procurement, construction, and commissioning activities, such as preparing requisitions, supporting technical bid evaluations, and reviewing vendor documentation.\nServe as Mechanical Lead on projects, when assigned.\nTeam Coordination\nOutline project requirements, actively promote workshare where appropriate, assign tasks, and supervise progress.\nEnsure that required services meet Worley, client, and applicable regulatory requirements, on time and within budget.\nCollaborate with stakeholders to address and resolve technical questions or discrepancies.\nMaintain awareness of relevant developments and innovations in mechanical engineering.\nProvide guidance and knowledge sharing within the mechanical engineering team.\nCommunicate effectively with team members, project stakeholders, and clients.\nIdentify challenges, contribute to solutions, and seek input when appropriate.\nTechnical and Industry Experience\nExperience supporting projects in nuclear, refining, chemical, or petrochemical facilities, or similar industrial environments.\nExperience contributing to multiple phases of engineering projects, from early concept through detailed design, including work on nuclear systems or facilities.\nStrong technical and practical mechanical engineering skills, with the ability to deliver accurate and timely work.\nUnderstanding of core mechanical engineering principles and general awareness of related engineering disciplines.\nFamiliarity with applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements, including nuclear-specific standards where applicable.\nExperience using mechanical engineering design tools and general business software (e.g., Microsoft Office).\nExperience working in multidisciplinary teams and project environments.\nEducation & Credentials\nBachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering (or a closely related engineering field) with 8 or more years of relevant professional experience, including experience in the nuclear sector.\nProfessional Engineer (PE) license in the US with the ability to obtain licensure in West Virginia.\nAuthorization to work in the United States.\nWillingness to work in or relocate to the Charleston, West Virginia area.\nMoving forward together\nWe want our people to be energized and empowered to drive sustainable impact.
