Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities\nLead the development, review, and implementation of Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) engineering deliverables for customer projects and operating facilities.\nPrepare and maintain I&C engineering documentation including:Control Narratives.\nFunctional Design Specifications (FDS).\nCause-and-Effect Matrices.\nInstrument Indexes.\nI/O Lists.\nPLC and DCS Logic Diagrams.\nLoop Drawings.\nAlarm Philosophy and Rationalization Documentation.\nTest Procedures.\nCommissioning and Startup Packages.\n\nSupport and maintain plant control systems, DCS platforms, Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS), HMI/SCADA applications, and associated industrial networks.\nExecute control strategy modifications, logic changes, graphics development, and system troubleshooting.\nWork directly with customer operations and engineering personnel to identify and resolve process control issues.\nReview and interpret existing control programs and documentation.\nParticipate in control system upgrades, migrations, and lifecycle management activities.\nProvide technical support for reliability, safety, and production objectives.\nSupport commissioning, startup, testing, and troubleshooting activities.\nCollaborate with automation, instrumentation, operations, and maintenance teams to improve system and process performance.\nInterface with equipment vendors, system integrators, and customer stakeholders.\nIndependently prioritize and execute assigned work with limited direction.\nTravel up to 25% as required to support customer projects, commissioning activities, troubleshooting, and business needs throughout North America.\nTravel as required for various field programs.\nQualifications\nBachelor's degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, Computer, Process Control, or related Engineering discipline.\nProfessional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation or eligibility is preferred.\nMinimum 10+ years of industrial controls and automation experience.\nDemonstrated experience supporting industrial facilities and customer projects.\nProven experience developing, reviewing, and executing Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) engineering deliverables is required.\nCandidates must demonstrate hands-on experience producing control narratives, functional design specifications, cause-and-effect matrices, instrument indexes, I/O lists, logic diagrams, loop drawings, alarm management documentation, test procedures, and commissioning documentation.\nStrong understanding of process control principles, alarms, interlocks, regulatory control strategies, and safety systems.\nExperience working directly with operators, maintenance personnel, and engineering teams.\nProven ability to work independently and quickly become supporting customers in industrial process, manufacturing, energy, mining, refining, petrochemical, pipeline, power generation, or heavy industrial environments.\nExperience with DCS migrations, upgrades, and modernization projects.\nExperience supporting both regulatory and advanced process control applications.\nBrownfield modifications and operational support.\nFunctional safety and alarm management knowledge.\nKnowledge of integrated plant operations and production optimization.\nExperience supporting multi-discipline engineering projects through design, implementation, commissioning, and startup phases.\nExperience working within an Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) environment is considered a strong asset.\nKey Attributes\nThe ideal candidate is:\nA operational support assignments.\nStrong background in the development of I&C engineering deliverables and control system design.\nExperience supporting the full project lifecycle including design, implementation, testing, commissioning, startup, and ongoing customer support.\nProven ability to independently lead controls engineering activities and provide technical guidance to customers and
